Such a quiet and unique location off the Transfagarasan road - which is a great place to see some European Brown Bears. Staff were lovely and friendly (especially the dogs) - the room was on the smaller side, but super comfortable and well designed - the bathroom especially! We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the forest.

The location is fantastic. Right in the centre of town but once you go through the gates of the property you feel like you are in the countryside. The 'cottage' I stayed in was spotlessly clean, well equipped and a pleasure to be in.

The princely court ruins and St Nicholas church are not to be missed. The centre is great for walking around and the market is a great place to grab a snack. We liked the Municipal museum too. We also enjoyed the Romanian food at La Costica where the locals gather. Curtea de Arges was a great surprise!
