A great place to stay in for families. A unique hostel with interesting history, located in a region where Astrid Lindgren's books are a living story. Owners where very helpful and made plenty of recommendations on what to visit in the neighbourhood.

This accommodation is located on a farm in a very rural location that apparently has converted some of their fields into a golf course. There are day visitors who just come to play golf (it is probably a good place to have your first go at golf, but we didn't have the time to try), and there are five rather simple rooms available in a converted barn with two communal bathrooms (no en-suite). The lady who received us (presumably the owner) was extremely friendly, and we had a nice chat with her. Some cold food can be bought on-site. The breakfast is not as extensive as in other, bigger hotels (mostly sandwiches).
This 1870s mansion is situated beside Tobo Golf Course, 15 minutes’ drive from Astrid Lindgren’s World. Boat and canoe rentals are free for guests. Free WiFi is available.

A nice place to stay in lovely surroundings. I loved the sauna by the lake and the breakfast was very good to. The hotel has a lot of little thoughtful touches: yea and coffee making facilities in the corridors, umbrellas and wellington boots for the rain.

We had a fantastic one week stay in Stinas Stuga at Sällegården in June 2023. Sandra and her entire family are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home the entire time. The kids enjoyed visiting the rabbits, crafting with wood or playing at the playground. And us parents enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful scenery which could be indulged on the beautiful terrace of the cottage.
Sällegården is well located for doing day trips, amongst others to Astrid Lindgren World or Kleva Gruva.
