Second visit to Karlstad and both times have been too short. There is a lot to see, especially around the cultural area, including the Värmlands Museum and Sandgrund Lars Lerin. And pleasant strolls along the river and canals.

The architecture is beautiful and the town is built in a comfortable way so you get to be in many parks and river along with shopping centers and places to eat. Beautiful city with awesome nature, beaches, coffee stops, nice restaurants, especially Mariebergskogen with small animal and birds and museum, garden, playground in it with fancy train only for sightseeing was awesome. Friendly people and good communication. Luckily we were not sick because I am not looking forward to visit the hospital "centralsjukhuset Karlstad".

The room was a little small and as it come with half board, we had dinner at the hotel, which was average. Although I wasn't expecting a 5 star dinner at least it would have being good for the main course (it was a salad and 1 main) to be tasty. The parking wasn't located next to the hotel but 150 mts (not a deal breaker) however not an accurate description. For 1 night it is OK however wouldn't consider for longer stays.juan carlosPoland

Directions and info about the city, including clever grocery shopping, are great. The building is just amazing, you can't miss it! And the inside is clean, tidy, confortable. There's a big shared kitchen with lots of utensils and cooking devices. Great shower and lots of bathrooms per floor. I was lucky enough to be alone in my dorm, it was such a rest after a much worse experience elsewhere!
