Room was awesome. Unique industrial theme in the room, which was very comfortable. Great breakfast spread. All staff were excellent. Very attentive and caring. Adjoining bar/restaurant (Fabrika) was superb.

Hotel Devin is located in the historic centre of Bratislava, on the banks of the Danube River.

Hotel Devin is a retro slice of Soviet era architecture that genuinely feels like stepping back in time. The public areas have a formal but very comfortable feel. This follows through to the bedrooms. Simple, classic, and oh, so 50s. Loved it.
I found the bed very comfortable, and the room was equipped with all the amenities you would expect.
I also had a great river view, which was unexpected for the price I paid.
I didn't use the restaurant, or the spa (I'm not that flush), but I couldn't miss a visit to Cafe Devin, which I understand is a nostalgic institution in Bratislava. It is a treat... absolutely gorgeous. The bar area, too, looked inviting...dark wood and upholstered armchair heaven.
There are plenty of large chain hotels along the river, also in a good central position for visiting the city that are super bright and appealing. However, Hotel Devin offers an intriguing dip into recent-ish history that is often lost and played down across the former 'eastern bloc'.
Hotel Devin is a gem of a place. I am so glad it has been preserved, and it is obviously cherished.

Excellent location, a few steps from the old center and the Eurovea mall, the promenade on the Danube bank and the superb restaurants.
Excellent breakfast, very attentive and competent breakfast staff, large room (executive suite), quiet and elegant, with a multitude of storage spaces, 2 TVs (in the living room and in the bedroom).
In general, the hotel deserves to be rated as excellent, although I would have a few observations, especially since Mr. Tiago Vigano, the General Manager, is omnipresent and strives (and succeeds!) to ensure a high level of the hotel.
