The hosts were unbelievably friendly and hospitable. Always welcomed me with a smile and asked if I wanted anything.
The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was bespoke and with everything I needed. The A/C was really good and the TV great in front of 2 comfortable chairs. Internet was fast enough to stream Movies and TV.
Lastly the view was terrific.
Great place to stay.
I will return.

Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

You don’t need more than 2 days here.
You don’t need more than 2 days here. We took the train from Bangkok and arrived around 3pm. Checked into our hotel and hung out. Then the next day we did a full day tour which our host set up for us and then we left the following day. It was the right amount of time because there’s not that much to do here.

I take photographs of wildlife, monkeys and monks, temples and people. So Phetchaburi kept me occupied for 16 days - I can't understand why so few people get off the train. It is just the right size to walk around, although Thanyachatra is just off a busy road that is not very easy to cross (but no traffic nose at the hotel). The locals are wonderful and once they had got used to seeing me around, I found that those who spoke English were keen to chat and helpful. The town is full of wonderful schools and happy, smiling and beautifully turned out children and teenagers.

It’s my first time there ppl are so nice , the city is very clean if you love dessert it’s one of the place in Thailand that you have to check it out . I’ll be back in Nov with my daughter can’t wait to show her around .
We had a great time in Phetchaburi.
The location of White Monkey is perfect, located on a small, quiet street. There is a local market right across the river with a coffee place and breakfast options.
We booked our stay quite spontaneously. When our room wasn't available, we were upgraded to another room free of charge.
Our hostess was extremely friendly and so, so helpful. She helped us organize our travel onwards to Pran Buri/Sam Roi Yot National Park.
Everything.
Nisa, the owner, is very nice and enthusiastic about all of her guests. She knows a lot about the town, including where to be careful with some stray dogs.
Breakfast is great, particularly in the lovely garden. Room is clean and well-maintained.
Despite it looks a bit far from the city centre, bikes are available for free and there are a few really nice and authentic local eateries within 400m.
Extremely comfortable beds, quiet and spacious. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of everything you could want to see in Phetchaburi. There are many food and drink stalls 2 minutes walk away on the main road, as well as 7/11 and ATMs. The area feels very safe and friendly, and it is wonderfully quiet at night. The manager is caring and speaks good English. Overall it's great value for money.
The facilities were extremely clean. Owner was very kind, respectful and helpful. The old wooden traditional house is extremely authentic and reminded us of the Jim Thompson Museum in Bangkok but without the antiquities. The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade banana muffins. Best place in Phetchaburi. Excellent quality /price. Kind owner who deserves 5 stars .
We could use bikes for free, which was very pleasant to explore the city and environment (the cave is an absolute must, only 10 minutes away by bike). The owner was super helpful (ea with providing a taxi). The rooms are big and clean and have very good facilities (mini bar with snacks at super reasonable prices).
The room was large and the view towards the hill is beautiful. The location is nice and it is easy to get from Sun Hotel to the different places to visit. It is the third time I have been there. Be careful, you have to book a room that overlooks the hill. Those facing the back are close to a noisy highway.
Nice individual units. Clean & comfortable. Wi-Fi good.
Breakfast served by family to your little terrace.
Also took us to palace and came back for us to go to station . Wouldn’t accept payment.
Places to eat near by but away from city centre
The hotel is basically a beautiful villa with garden. It has an old european style architecture, which gives the place a stylish and relaxed atmosphere. The facilities in our room (the one located near the river) and bath room were O.K.
The room was very clean and spacious. The owners spoke English well, and were friendly and helpful. Phetchaburi is in a lovely agricultural area, and we would gladly return to 2N if we are ever back in the area.
It was clean. A noticeable effort to decorate and not make it look junky. Everything organized. Host was most helpful in getting us bus reservations and a ride to the station. Much appreciated.
This was by far the best budget accommodation we encountered in Thailand! Super clean, comfortable, friendly staff and even a free breakfast. Don't look further if coming to phetchaburi!
amazing staff, left something in room. they remembered we had said we were going on train and they drove to station and gave it too us, simply perfect customer service
