I went in September/October so some of the days were a bit...
I went in September/October so some of the days were a bit cold for just a stroll around the city but there were some mild days. Everyone i met was polite and friendly and i never felt unsafe at any time there. It was a nice time for me and the place i stayed was very central to everything. It was a relaxing stay i would do it again. If you speak the language i can imagine it would be even better unfortunately my knowledge of Russian/Ukrainian was a bit limited.

Zhytomyr is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine.
Zhytomyr is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine. Very beautiful old buildings. Great public transport and very very inexpensive. The Aeronautics Museum is there, awesome. Russia would not have their space program if it was not for the Ukraine scientists who were responsible for the creation of the propulsion systems. Very cool museums there.

Location is good. Rooms are also nice but vary. Breakfasts are usually standard, but sometimes vary too. On the other hand, filet mignon in the restaurant was excellent - try medium rare as they usually tend to do medium a well done.

There's no elevator in hotel, but it's not high - we stayed on 4 floor, and no other rooms were higher. The glass roof is cool, kids just liked to sit there and enjoy the thunderstorm.
