The UofM campus is fabulous and has great energy.
The UofM campus is fabulous and has great energy. Plus there are great restaurants and thinks to do and see on and around campus. Angelo's and Zingermans are two favorites for eating. Great sushi here too for the Midwest.
Make sure you visit the MDen to get some UofM gear or memorabilia.

I liked most of the staff very much.
I liked most of the staff very much. The girl in the morning was rude. The lady at night was awesome. The cleaning lady couldn't wait for me to leave literally. It was 10:30 I was putting stuff in my car and she just went it and began cleaning. My time to leave was 11 not 10:30. Very disappointed won't be staying there again. To expensive for such rudeness.

We are big U of M football fans.
We are big U of M football fans. We went down for the opening weekend game. Fun city with lots of excited fans. Plenty of parking spots to choose from. Many restaurants and shops. We went to the game on Saturday then went back to the campus Sunday to walk around. The M Den is a fun place to shop. We learned that the one downtown is the biggest and has most options.

UMMuseum is great.
UMMuseum is great. Pleasant walk around the campus with several local easily available restaurants. Otherwise little to do but visit with family/friends. Better to spend time in Detroit with wonderful museums/parks/activities.

It is a Michigan University town.
It is a Michigan University town. Perfect place for young people in their twenties. May not be as much fun for older guys 50+ like myself. The downtown is nicely illuminated during X-mas holiday season.
The front desk staff were pleasant and professional. There was not a freezer section in our mini-fridge (other hotels on our road trip had mini-fridges with a small freezer section). I asked to have our freezer packs put in the hotel freezer so they'd be ready to go the next morning when we got back on the road, which they did. The room was very clean. Breakfast was good. A Bob Evans restaurant was located adjacent to the hotel so we did not have to get back in the car to find somewhere to have dinner the one night we spent in Ann Arbor.
I showed up early, called the support number and they activated my key code in less than 20 minutes. Apartment was even bigger than the last one there I stayed in. Really like having all the normal things an apartment would have for the price of a hotel. Its also cheaper than any of the hotels downtown. I am working on a job downtown and I am staying in the same block. So saving tons of time and money in transportation even though I need to pay for parking.
Breakfast was wonderful - Sarah made us delicious meals and sourced many of the ingredients from local shops. It was fun to sit around the table and meet some of the other guests staying as well. The property was in a great location with easy parking and a short walk to downtown Ann Arbor. Overall, we would be happy to stay again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family that are looking to visit!
First room card didn’t work and was placed next to a bunch of young guys, so asked for a quieter room, new room much quieter than anticipated for the other one., so well done to the stuff for sorting this.
They did take possession of a number of items I had sent to the hotel which I’m grateful.
Pretty good buffet breakfast when it’s available albeit, shocking it’s not always available.
The room was partially renovated (new floor, sink, vanity area) and those areas were very nice. King bed was OK. Location on Plymouth Rd. was close to town and there is a great gourmet grocery store feet from our building. 2 gas stations close by. Hotels in A2 are not cheap, but this was the cheapest place we could find and it was at least average and more than adequate.
In general, the staying in the hotel was quite satisfactory. There was one case I experienced for the first time in my travel. During my stay, there was one day when the electricity went out in whole city. The hotel prepared for coffee from the other place with delivery. It was quite considerate of customer.
Each room is a suite with a fully stocked kitchen. Has a very nice pool to swim laps in, compared to most hotel pools, although it's only about 15 yards long. Has a sport court out in the back. Entire property is very clean. Compared to other hotels nearby, this one costs more, but is nicer.
The location is perfect for going out into downtown Ann Arbor! The owner/host was friendly and gave us ideas of where to go while we were in town, and was very kind to us during our stay. As a bonus, there is a dog in residence who is incredibly sweet and made it even better!
I had a quick trip to Ann Arbor. I did not eat breakfast as I had to leave early in the morning. It was an ok hotel. I just needed a place to lay my head. I would recommend it for a quick stay but not necessarily for those vacationing.
Location was good, walking distance to university. Better value for myself and a colleague to stay in and have our own space as opposed to a hotel. Clean, lots of space. The outdoor rooftop space is pretty cool. Bed was super comfy.
Trash hotel with a guy in reception that had clear brain issues. Arrive in the hotel at 2 am and he didn't want to check me in saying that they tried to reach out when they didn't. Disgusting place, stay away from this **** hole.
There are shops in walking distance with restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The staff was very friendly. Driving distance to downtown is like 10-15 minutes.
Parking is well available and only 5$/night.
Hyatt Place Ann Arbor was an excellent hotel experience. It felt new and clean and was very comfortable. The included breakfast was very good with a wonderful variety to pick from. We'd definitely stay here again!
Incredible breakfast made by the innkeeper! Baxter House is also in a perfect location in Ann Arbor, walkable to lots of shops and restaurants downtown. The apartment is updated and clean. Highly recommend!
Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent location with good bus connections (about 20min to downtown or 10min driving) and lots of food options nearby. Good breakfast options at the hotel.
you can hear your neighbors
cheap construction
bad layout in the room. the sink is next to the door.
hotel located parallel to the expressway.
breakfast ends at 9am
What was not to like.
Spacious room. Very clean and comfortable.
Big bathroom.
Awesome breakfast!
Great team working there.
