A really nice innkeeper, Mark, who served a lovely breakfast every morning. Perfect location, access to the beach, not sandy, but still beautiful and fun for kids to throw pebbles in the water. Close to the supermarket, Camden state park etc. Loved it and will be back

If you are in need of respite, I can't say enough good things about this place! After a several month stretch of extreme work and familial stress, this was my last stop on a trip to Acadia/down the Maine coast, and the hospitality was unparalleled.
The concierge personally walked over to show me the way to the "Hideaway" property, and the combined bar/check-in desk was so creative. You have access to a kitchen with refrigerator, stocked coffee pod machine, and a wonderful lounge area. My room (really a suite, which was bigger than I expected) had a sitting room, the fluffiest pillows my head has ever met, and tasteful soothing decor. Later that night, enjoyed a delicious cocktail and dessert in front of the fireplace of the cozy lounge - I had already eaten dinner elsewhere but the chef seems to be quite skilled. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious - freshly squeezed juice and pastries, packaged yogurts available for grab-and-go, outstanding sausages and eggs, all in such a calming environment.
We were in Camden for a family reunion. It is a very nice little town with good restaurants and fun shops.
We liked Peter Ott's and The Jack
We shopped at the Cashmere Goat for knitting stuff, Rockport Blueprint for art supplies.
Go on the Maine Sports harbor kayak tour and a sunset tall ship cruise on the Appledore or Olad.

Camden is a beautiful and historic city.
Camden is a beautiful and historic city. We visited the Windsor Chair Factory, walked all the streets of the historic downtown, took a sailing trip on the Surprise, a two-masted wooden sailing schooner - magical (Ramiro and Nicole de Acevedo Ramos 207.236.4687). The Farnsworth Museum is close (Rockland) and is a must-see if you like Wyeth.

I loved the hotel 16 Bay View as well as the town itself. So many cute shops and walkable streets. Many great restaurants and loved Camden Massage as well. Had a spectacular birthday dinner at Franny's and enjoyed the look-out at Mt Battie.

Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town.
Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town. Did not love the lack of available restaurants that could accommodate our large family. 2 hour wait most nites, no reservations accepted. Hard for kids to have Late dinners or wait when they are starving. Finally settled on take out chinese in Camden and ate on hotels back deck. Otherwise lovely area, will return in slower season.

Downtown easily walkable.
Downtown easily walkable. Many choices for dining and shopping. We went during shoulder season and not all restaurants and shops were open and if they were, hours were limited . Can easily see when in season things would get very crowded.

Camden is one of Maine's prettiest towns, it sits on the water and is surrounded by mountains, perfect! Downtown Camden is so picturesque with its harbor and cute little shops, so many from which to choose! Although the weather was not nice at all while we visited, we were able to get out and walk and loved that Camden had a fraction of visitors that it typically has!
The location along the northern outskirts of Camden was very convenient along interstate 1, as well as the Camden Harbor on Penobscot Bay.
There was a small beach at the end of the property that we were able to put our feet in, but a bit of a hike was involved. The ice machine was perfect for filling our water bottles in the hot weather, and fresh fruit at breakfast was nice. Lemon poppy seed muffin was excellent.
The bedsheets were clean.
Everything was lovely! James and Gary were the perfect hosts, incredibly friendly, with great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The home was built in 1806, in great shape and nicely decorated. Breakfast was two courses each morning, served on the patio the August weather was perfection. The rooms were very comfortable, zero complaints, will gladly stay here next time we’re up in Camden!!
We had a lovely stay with Janis and Peter at their inn. They made us feel extremely welcome and at home immediately with a tour of the inn as well as providing us with an information pack for the area and food recommendations! The inn itself is perfectly located in Camden and is absolutely charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the delicious breakfast!
Dave is a wonderful host and one of a kind!!:)) We would have love to spend even more day at the Abigail’s Inn in Camden. Every detail was perfect. He puts so much love and effort in this property and breakfast. He gives great recommendations for day trips or restaurants. It feels like staying at your friends house!:) Thank you and see you soon!
The room was very cosy with a fireplace. Loved that!
Balcony with nice view
Very good bathroom with great shower (water could come form all the corners!)
Nice bar where they made great cocktails
Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Nice chairs to sit in. Xmas feeling.
Good recommendation to go to a mountain and to go to a lobster place
The place was at a lovely horse farm and nicely tucked in the woods. Nice to see this side of Camden, down the long roads behind the town. It is a sweet little fairytale house in the woods. The host and hostess met us and were very very friendly and helpful. Quiet, beautiful surroundings.
This cute little hotel was in a perfect location to be right downtown Camden. The parking lot had a garden and was lovely to walk through to get to the town. It also provided an easy gateway to be able to travel up the coast of Maine and make it back to.
Beautiful Victorian Inn within close walking distance of downtown Camden. It was very convenient and on site parking was a plus for an otherwise crowded town. The couple running the in are wonderful and friendly. Nice cozy inn. I will return.
Cozy atmosphere in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. Our room was a partial harbor view, so the balcony over looked the street and a little bit of the harbor. It was a charming view of Camden.
This is a great hotel in a terrific location just off Main Street & close to the harbour but still very peaceful and quiet. The continental breakfast was excellent and included a waffle maker as well as the usual toasters etc.
Gorgeous hotel, just a short walk to central Camden! The morning continental breakfast offered delicious local scones, and we loved the cookies you could take anytime you visited the main lounge!
Very charming hotel. Location was ideal: 3 min drive from central Camden and 100m from the water. Great view, impeccable rooms, lovely house & decorations. I recommend 100pc!!!
Great view, nice family hotel. New management, improved the property a lot. Nice friendly staff. This is exactly what I want in Maine, good honest value, and not pretentious.
