Cosy spot with a lot of tourist information on display.
Nice little terrace and possibility for campfire just outside the cabin (not during fire ban though :) ).
You don't see the owner during your stay, but the owner is very responsive via the chat on Booking.com.

Ashford was great! If you want to take your dog hiking find a place outside mt rainier, no dogs allowed. There is a nice hike very close to juniper cabin. It's very easy and very nice. Must walk there. There is no parking.Besonson - 8.0Scored 8.0

The property was perfect, only a few miles away from the entrance to a great national park. Since you have a limited selection of restaurants and grocery stores, it offers you the opportunity to cook in. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The house is very spacious.
The house is very spacious. I went with my family - 2 Adults and 2 Children. House can accommodate at least 6 people. Cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped. The local restaurants are great, especially the Wild Berry, the sherpa food one. The woman who ran Alexander's Lodge was awesome, she went over and beyond trying to make people happy. Very pretty setting, nice rooms and the sitting room was extra room to spread out. I would go back!

Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay Ashford is a service town for Mount Rainier National Park. Strung out along Highway 706 for the last few miles before the entrance, it's great for mountaineers and tourists. I ate at the Wild Berry Cafe, owned and operated by Sherpa immigrants who bring their food and culture to this tiny, rural corner of Washington State. The Gateway Inn, adjacent to the Nisqually Gate of the Park, is a comfortable older hotel. It's a perfect basecamp for a short stay or as the beginning or ending overnight spot for your adventure. I stayed in one of the older cabins, warm and cozy, on my recent overnight business trip. They gave us a good tip to beware any nearby restaurants close around 8:00pm! The breakfast delivered to our room was above our expectations 😊. We had the room with the detached bathroom and it was not a problem at all. The bathroom was big and right next to our room; never saw anyone else in the hallway. Overall very happy with our stay here!
