Breakfast was great! They're very pet friendly and have plenty of room out in their lot for walking about. It's very close to the few restaurants in the area, so that helps. Not far from Moab and a perfect spot if you're driving home to Colorado from Vegas. Would rent again for sure.
This motel is 10 minutes’ walk from Green River State Recreational Area. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms. Parking is provided on site.

Great place to sleep, do your night/morning cleanup.
The owner is a "I'll stay out of your way" kind of guy... Need new towels ? Put them outside and we'll replace them. Otherwise, it's your room !

Hotel is 1/4 off I-70 easy on off access, I got checked in at 7:30pm and all 1st floor rooms were taken, they gave me 2nd floor room which was quiet enough and clean and comfy. I had several bags of luggage and had to climb stairs three times because no elevator onsite, at 72yrs I got a work out! All in all hotel is fine and one of the better one with a decent price.

Green River is a small town with the John Powell museum right next to the hotel. Has a couple good restaurants and a nice grocery store. There are lots of Jeep and ATV trails right out of Green River

Green River feels very sketchy as a town, and is little more than a glorified truck stop. This town had much worse vibes compared to other towns in Utah of similar size. There is only one decent restaurant (Tamarisk) in this town. Stay in some other town instead.

We didnt spend much time in town but there were good restaurants, a good museum. and a decent coffee shop. ( a must for us). It was a good base for bicycling.. We ate at Rays, the Tamarisk... both good. We will definitely go back sometime to explore more dirt roads. Also the melons were great. took 4 home!
The room was comfortable and so was the bed. One of the best things for us was the location on the edge of town with a great view of the Book Cliffs, one of the world's longest continuous escarpments( 240 miles, Utah and Colorado). The motel was in walking distance of a museum on the natural history and written history of the area. The Green River is a tributary to the Colorado River. There is a river walk--paved, wheelchair friendly--along the Green River. Native plants and songbirds abound.
This was a nice, simple hotel without many frills or extra amenities. The place was clean and comfortable, with a 24 hour coffee station and with reasonably pleasant check-in staff. The location is about 40 minutes away from Arches National Park, and the commute is very easy to get there in the morning. There is also at least one good restaurant near the hotel, Tamarisk, which we enjoyed.
First Choice Inn is a moderately priced lodging that appears renovated. It's room and common areas were spotless, its desk staff was cheerful and most helpful, and it's a close proximity to Green River's best dining establishment and the John Westley Powell museum. There's also a bank of Tesla charging bays for your electric vehicle next to the property, and added bonus.
After 12 hours of driving from Montana we just wanted to go to our rooms and crash it was after 8 at night, however we found one of the rooms had not been cleaned from the previous occupant and had to wait in reception until this had been done. Hotel in a good location for our trip and only stayed for 1 night rooms good and great breakfast the following morning.
Everything was perfect. Very clean, nice breakfast, very helpful staff, very large room. Got an upgrade to a king suite because our toilet got clogged up while we were in Canyonlands National Park. Would recommend the establishment to anybody staying in Green River. Close to a nice restaurant too (Tamarisk). Would stay there again by all means!
The area of Green River does not have much to choose from but, this was certainly the nicest. Rooms decor was slightly dated but everything was clean and comfy. All rooms appear to have a balcony that either overlook the parking lot or the back garden and River. Breakfast is hot and made to order. I would stay here again.
the hotel was renovated and clean, the young lady at the counter was very friendly and professional, lot’s of guests arrived at the same time and she handled it very well and stayed calm. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. it’s a great hotel to stay in if you passe through Green River.
It was a clean location, it reached my expectations considering the price. At least for me, a foreigner, the little city or Green River was quite charming, remembered me about the childhood when I was watching westerns or Cars (Pixar) :)
We enjoyed the view our room had over the Green River. The king-sized bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. The hot food selection and homemade cinnamon rolls at breakfast were delicious
Breakfast was very good, a little variety each day we were here. The outside patio was great to sit on and eat. Since dinner was not included, the Tamarisk was the best bang for our bucks, right on the Green River.
Great low cost alternative to staying in Moab for the various attractions nearby, like Arches and Canyonlands NPs. There's a gas station very nearby for snacks and basics.
The booking.com price was around $65. Booking.com said they were pet friendly...yet they charged me $45 for one night. My dogs are 13 lbs. Each...too much added charges
