The bed was cozy and liked the decor, the caribou picture was beautiful. Like the fridge, micro and coffee. Great TV. Staff was very friendly, especially Cameron! Room was roomy! Lots of parking space which was convenient since we were pulling a trailer. The maid also placed a welcome note on the bed and so cute they made a bunny out of a washcloth.🥰

The host family is very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, fridge is stocked with water, coffee ready to start in the morning. excellent value. Located on the world famous Kenai Peninsula, just minutes from the best fishing in Alaska.
I looked at some lots, hoping to move there eventually.
I looked at some lots, hoping to move there eventually. The peninsula is a hallmark of wilderness experience combined with restaurants and stores supplying all that you need. The Kenai Peninsula is a little piece of heaven.

It was my first time in Kenai, I like the scenery, planning to come back for another weekend.
I spent my time at the beach walking and watching all those people fishing.
I ate at Louis’s Restaurant. The manager and staff were very pleasant. The food was excellent.

The National wild life center and visitors center were fantastic. The Safeway store had a huge variety & good prices. The fireplace bar & grill was outstanding. Very good breakfast at the Airport. Ravn Air was terrible. Use Grant. They lost our luggage and would not deliver it when they found it. Our flight in was delayed 4 times.

We were on our way back to Anchorage and stayed their 1 night. Plenty of people were fishing. We went to dinner at Paradiso, an Italian, Greek and Mexican restaurant. Food was great. Staff super.
Went for a drive to the old town of Kenai and that was just delightful with its Russian influence in church buildings there and lovely street lamps.
Lots of places to stay on the beach area too.

Not a lot to do in Kenai close to Homer.
Not a lot to do in Kenai close to Homer. Great stop over to chill and we loved Louie’s restaurant.. you’ll meet a lot of the locals here. There is the cleanest Walmart to pick up necessities. Close to Soldotna which has a lot more activities.
The owners are the most down to earth people I have met! They helped my family with any needs and the breakfast each morning was really good. These 2 put pride in this hotel and I'll stay here again if my family visits Soldotna again. They kept our fish frozen until we left and allowed us to use their vacuum sealer for the fish. You're family when you stay here and that means more to me then a fancy hotel. I just loved this place!
Friendly staff, location, cleanliness, affordability! Great stay, perfect little place, everything you need in a room and location is so convenient when in Kenai! We love it here, we will always come back!
Sunday morning we had their blackened fillet benedict, oh my gosh it was so tasty! Highly recommend trying that if you are there on a Sunday morning (restaurant opens at 11)
The Aspen Hotel has excellent amenities in a spacious suite, including a well-stocked kitchenette. The receptionist even gave us a room by the back door so I could take BeBe (my pomeranian) for walks in their wildflower abundant back yard. (BeBe was very unhappy when we had to leave!) The Aspen Hotel is in the heart of Kenai.
We stayed here with the anticipation of going into Seward where hotels are quite a bit more expensive. It was a fantastic stay. The only issue is the walls are a little thin, so your neighbors have a big say on how well your stay is going to be.
I definitely was expecting a crummy hotel for only $80 a night. The uptown motel was way nicer than I expected. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were recently updated. Awesome place to crash on a long road trip.
treated like family.Good location away from town. recommend for a great trip to the Kenai Peninsula that a stay at " The Place" is a good choice. I will recommend to family and friends to " The Place".
Very quiet, opposed to some of the hotels we have stayed at, which was very nice! Nice continental breakfast options and felt like we were at home. The hosts were very nice as well; would stay again!
A bonus was the auction and raffle in the bar. I had also booked ahead and the hotel was closed. They provided me with a room and a night that was very enjoyable. All a plus plus experience.
