When I checked in, I was given the option to keep the room that I booked (old) or stay in a room that has been recently renovated. Of course I chose the renovated room. It was great; very spacious, modern, clean and the bed was super comfortable. I loved that there is a dog park just opposite so I could take my dog over every morning and evening. The staff are really friendly. I had no issues at all.

Salt Lake City is the surprisingly green Utah capital between the mighty Wasatch Mountain Range and the Great Salt Lake. Aside from skyscrapers housing industrial banks, the skyline is dominated by monuments of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints which is headquartered here.
A church member, Brigham Young, founded the city in what is now This Is The Place Heritage Park. A tower sculpture commemorates the settlers’ trek across America by handcart, an example of which is in the Pioneer Memorial Museum. Walled Temple Square has the main Mormon sights: the Temple is only visitable by members, but anyone can listen to the famous Tabernacle choir.
The State Capitol sits majestically on top of a hill with views of peaks offering winter skiing and summer hiking. The city hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and one venue was the Olympic Cauldron Park within the University of Utah, also home of the Fine Art Museum and Natural History Museum.
The Gilgal Sculpture Garden is a more unusual Salt Lake City attraction and down the road is the Trolley Square Mall. More branded stores are in the Gateway District, while Sugar House is more trendy and eclectic.
Booking.com’s accommodation options include hotels with hot tubs, motels allowing pets and cheap apartments near Salt Lake City Airport.

We ate at Cafe Molise, an Italian restaurant located within walking distance of the Little America. The salmon was “to-die-for” and the in-house, homemade gnocchi in light, creamy basil sauce with pine nuts was the bomb. Cool atmosphere! Our room was super comfortable with ample space in bathroom and sitting area. We loved having two separate vanities. It was a lovely, upscale place to stay right downtown. Hale Centre Theatre 🎭 in Sandy was excellent. We really enjoyed the professional rendition of “Fiddler on the Roof”. Impressive theatre. Skiing is fantastic and close!

We spent most of the time at the Salt Palace for an Outdoor Expo, which was wonderful. The downtown area had a diversified selection of restaurants and most all were great! Downtown still had Christmas lights in mid February, which made it festive in one of the dullest months.
Overall, the city was clean even though there is a large homeless population that occupied one section of the city. With that being said, there wasn’t really any issues that normally come with that.
Salt Lake City has a lot of concerts, professional basketball and many trade expos in addition to a great choice of restaurants and night life.

SLC was just a layover - flew in/out to drive to Moab.
SLC was just a layover - flew in/out to drive to Moab. We spent an afternoon walking around Temple Square (interesting) and the immediate neighborhood. Fair number of restaurants (and even a cocktail bar!) in walking distance. Also a couple museums we didn't have time to visit. Went to Great Salt Lake State Park before heading to airport. Stop in the Visitor's Center. Highly recommend coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Cupla Coffee on W 200 South and Pago on S 900 E for dinner. *Note: I truly don't understand the street naming system!!

I was mostly in the Convention Center which was nice.
I was mostly in the Convention Center which was nice. Temperature in the Center was awesome. I ate at Fat Jack's Burger Emporium. It was ok. Nothig too special. Not many food chpices that didn't include spicy seasonings. I also ate at Brio Italian restaurant. The food was very good and the prices were not too pricey.
I stood at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel. In the evening many drug addicts would roam around and the homeless would go into the hotel to use the lobby bathroom, but the Hotel outside doors locked at 11pm and no one could get in without a room key.

Bookings.
Bookings. You asked me to review Bposhtels, but this survey is about the city of Salt Lake.
You did NOTHING for me I spent three times the amount of money I planned to spend on accomodations because of the proprietor's misrepresentation and business structure that obscures their responsibilities. I would NEVER stay there again and I do not want to use bookings ever again
Breakfast was really good, with lots of options and all of them constantly being refilled by the friendly staff. I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, it was nice and private because no one was there when we went. It’s also one of the only hotels in the area we could find with an open ‘til midnight pool area. The pool temperature is great. The room was super clean and spacious. Also the snack bar at the front desk has everything you could possibly ask for, from options of ice cream sandwiches to Pepto-bismol, and various chips and soft drinks.
Location was close to airport. I liked the convenience of being picked up immediately when I called. The staff was so nice and helpful explaining everything. My room had a kitchen which I LOVED. it was quiet & relaxing. Everything I came in contact with was clean. Again staff was AWESOME especially the afternoon ladies. Parking lot was well lit up and I never saw any transients like I read about in reviews of the hotels down town, so I felt safe traveling solo.
the lay out of the room was logical and having a kitchenette is always nice. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a separate living and sleeping area. There was a nice balcony that overlooked the park across the street. The air-conditioning worked well, as it was in the high 90's during our stay. Breakfast was good, just your standard hotel breakfast. There was a good selection in breakfast style as well (oats, versus eggs, or pastries, and meat).
The service was amazing: we ordered room service food at two very different times, and were served in less than twenty minutes each time, with delectable food; the hotel was nearly spotless; the facilities, like the indoor pool, were well-maintained and well-functioning; dinner at the hotel bar was scrumptious and quickly served; valet service was efficient; we were close to downtown; on the whole, we were delighted with our stay.
Excellent location, in downtown Salt Lake City. Most amenities are local. We took a sightseeing tour of the city to get our orientation and would recommend this. You can then choose to go back and visit again if you choose. Restaurant attached to the hotel but with no affiliation is awful. food is not good, they still had a very sad christmas tree up in the corner in April ! There are plenty of good restaurants locally.
The city centre location, with bars and restaurants only a short walk away as well as a shopping mall. The room was lovely and clean, and the view was amazing. There is a tram stop right outside that takes you directly to the airport or to Salt Lake Central station for main line trains to Provo or Ogden. If I ever needed to visit Salt Lake City again, I'd definitely stay here.
The rooms were clean, WiFi excellent, and the bed really comfortable. Had a great nights sleep, with a filling basic breakfast in the morning. The rooms were dated, but clean, however the best thing was location - really close to the airport, and when you are tired in a snow storm, that was a huge plus! Asked for rooms close to each other and they were adjacent!
The downtown location was prime for walking and the local 'train' platform was directly across from the hotel. The Temple and the Museum of Contemporary Art were literally across the street. The City shopping center was less than a block away. The parking was very convenient as it was attached to the property. Also, the bathroom was very clean.
Wonderful hotel in a historical house. We had a room with a separate bathroom but that was no problem. The house has a very nice interior and parking at the back. There are several restaurants around at walking distance (15m) and the area is quiet and beautiful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
The staff was fantastic. Clean and spacious rooms that are very comfortable and up to date. Breakfast included in rate and had a nice shuttle that picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and had good hours of operation. Great place to stay near airport at a great rate. I highly recommend.
The doubleshot barista in the lobby was fantastic. The decor in the room was odd, kinda of interesting. Pets stay free. I'm not sure of anything else I liked about the doubletree downtown slc. I think it is the Salt Lake market, not the doubletree hotel itself.
Decently close to the downtown core, about a 10 minute drive. There was two sinks in our room, which was a nice touch.
We drove from Zion to Yellowstone, stopping at SLC. The hotel met our needs for our overnight stay.
Comfortable, clean and good sized room - well appointed and relaxing.
The staff were great, location easy for the airport and a short walk from the tram line for downtown and city centre.
Enjoyed my stay. Really good.
Hotel is well located, room is big and clean. The staff is super ! (They solved a problem with transfer from airport in excellent way! Thanks again !) Good breakfast with option to take away
Beautiful hotel. First time to salt lake city and everything was clean but our hotel was especially so. Loved the shower and the spacious room. Location to downtown and all the sites.
