Staff and location. We appreciated having a kitchen and laundry available. Since it can be spendy eating out 2-3 meals a day, we cooked a store-bought frozen lasagna for dinner one night, saving us time and money.
Harborview Inn is located in Seward. The inn also provides free WiFi and free private parking. At the inn, each room is fitted with a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels.

Breakfast…
Very cheap food for the type of lodge. Next door at Miller’s landing you had great coffee and a selection of food for vegan, veg…
Today people that travel to this type of lodge want real eggs, fresh fruits, more variety.
The Alaska Sealife Center is less than 5 minutes’ walk from this inn. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and barbecue facilities are provided on site for guest use.

We were on a short trip to see an art exhibit at a wonderful coffee house. We also browsed around the shops and enjoyed a great First Friday Art Walk and dinner at the Flamingo. It was a delightful weekend. Seward has much more to offer for a longer stay. The views of the mountains and the sea are stunning.

Seward is a nice small town.
Seward is a nice small town. We went during the off season. a lot of things where closed or had limited hours during our trip. We missed out on a few items we would have liked to check out but there was still plenty to do in the area. Recommend a wildlife boat tour, we had a blast and still saw a lot of wildlife so early in the year. The Alaska Sea Life Center is a must see any time.

Hotel was well situated in a retail area with many options for food, ice cream, coffee and and drinks. The views of the harbor and access to it were great and right out the back door. The complimentary breakfast was good with both hot and cold items.

Lots of construction driving to/from Seward from Anchorage, so it took way longer than we had anticipated. It was a cute town and we enjoyed our 8.5 hour glacier cruise. I would definitely take a shorter cruise. Fox Island was a great part of our cruise.

Seward is a charming waterfront town with plenty of good restaurants and things to do. We took two incredible boat tours with Kenai Ford Tours; they were fabulous. There is plenty of hiking, and the city is nestled between mountains. Seward is the kind of place you hate to leave.

Highly recommend coming to take a glacier tour, whale watch, hike or to take children to the aquatic life center. Nice, locally owned galleries and shops with friendly keepers. Easy to get around and can access local parks and walking trails with close by parking.
We only needed to stay in Seward for one night, so we opted for a cheaper option with no bathroom in the room. The hotel was quiet, beds were comfy and using a shared bathroom wasn't a problem. The hotel has a little restaurant to have a breakfast but you want to be up early - we saw several families waiting in the lobby for vacant tables. The hotel is about 30 mins walk to the harbor, which we didn't mind but will be an issue for people with suitcases. We learned that the hotel provides shuttle service from the railway station.
It is like a hidden gem in the forest, there is also a stream surrounding the cabins. The owner kept the cabin very clean and really took very good care of the place, she refilled the water jar each day and really paid attention to the details that made this hotel exceptional. The place also has a nice fireplace and bbq facilities that you can certainly enjoy. A very good restaurant within walking distance, 13 min drive to either Seward or exit glacier, could not be better!
Lovely place to stay in Barrow. Beautiful home with Inuit art. Very comfortable, clean room. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast. Unless you need to stay in the big hotel or the one near the airport, this is far more home-like and personal. Only about a ten-fifteen minute walk to center of town.
Such a great place to stay! Our cabin was right next to the beautiful creek. The room was spacious, clean, and beds were new and very comfortable. The cabin was located a short walk from the restroom and showers. Both restroom and showers were very clean. Our host Brandon was awesome.
Great contact at the train station for the ride
Everything is perfect there and i feel to stay 2 more nights
My bed in the dorm so confortable and pretty colors for the linens and towels
Kitchen very good organisation i like it so much
The location was nice and close to restaurants and some shops.
It's close the the Seward sea life centre.
The beds are comfortable.
Breakfast is included, a standard American breakfast is served
We were able to park on the street
The staff was friendly. Paul picked up our luggage in the cargo van and brought it to our rooms. The hotel has a lot of character and a reputation for being haunted! Great location for restaurants and shops in the Town of Seward!
historic hotel, centrally located, reasonable price. George the manager was helpful with dining tips since not all restaurants were open at the regular times when we were there. All good - excellent value and comfortable rooms.
The building Is apparently the newest hotel in Seward. It is a solid three star hotel with rooms in a restaurant in lobby the pure clean. However they don’t appear to use any Covid disinfectant and none of the staff wears masks.
Convenient OKish hotel if you plan on taking the Alaska Railroad. They will pick up you and your luggage from the train station and drop you off at the hotel on arrival and do the same thing the other way on your departure…
The hotel is nice and clean. It is inviting and cozy. It is located a little further from Seward's downtown but walks will do it. The room was nice and very cleaqn, the bed very comfortable. The staff was friendly and kind.
The absence of any viable competition in Seward, with no luxury hotels at all, gives this establishment an unfair disadvantage as it is one of very view hotels to stay over if you are embarking on a cruise from here.
The hotel is in excellent location. Our room has a view of the harbor and the mountains. The staff is very nice, and they allow us to park our car for a few hours after checking out.
Owner Pete was very prompt to any concern, friendly, and thoughtfully took the time to make sure we had everything. Great location in beautiful Seward.
