The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

The area is beautiful.
The area is beautiful. We love going down to beach area also the restaurants are amazing. Unfortunately our hotel between the roaches and duct tape for holders to open up cabinets was completely unsatisfying. The beds were very uncomfortable overall that place needs to be redone.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida.
Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family.
Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.
There is nothing not to like.inn at the beach is probably my favorite place I've ever stayed in Florida. The staff are amazing, the breakfast is amazing. It is so very clean it's like brandnew .It's cozy like home .for the money it is awsome. Such a relaxing place.the beach is just feet away also there is a beautiful park in the front with the most beautiful Spanish oaks that seems to go the whole length of Venice Ave. All the beach amenities are free to use from the hotel just ask one of the staff.
Everything was so clean and perfectly presented in Floridian style. As a host, Cathy has been so attentive to detail and we were generously welcomed with cookies and pastries. The property is at the rear of their own home but it is detached with all its own facilities, just like home from home.It is well situated for beach days or taking a trip to the shops. The garden is secluded and beautifully kept. We highly recommend this holiday home and it’s hosts.
We had such a wonderful stay in Venice Beach Villas! It is a quiet and peaceful place, nice apartments with all you need. We really liked all the equipment for our shark teeth search which is available at Venice beach Villas. They have also bikes you can take for a ride, umbrellas and beach chairs for your trip to the beach, pool towels for the nice pool, parking space, so everything just perfect! We can only recommand this place for a very relaxing stay.
Very comfortable apartment style just over the bridge to Casey Key. It’s quiet with a small pool area & private access to the beach. There are beach chairs to borrow (first come first served) & access to the canal & docks. It’s very easy to get around from Casey Key & the ice cream parlour just up the road is not to be missed! No restaurants on the Key but you can easily walk to Pops Sunset grill or Pelican Alley.
I love location, close to beach and city!!
Loved the hot tub! The pool was really nice!! floors were nice. Room size was good. Bedding very comfortable.maids were super friendly and helpful!!
Booking.com had apparently cancelled our rooms without telling us...however manager at hotel was wonderful and gave us a room we requested and honored the pricing!!
Had grassy area for dog and doggy bag stations!
The blue vacation house is in an ideal location half way between downtown Venice and Manasota beach and Siesta beach. The house is clean quirky and has great facilities with lovely outside space. Ewa was extremely helpful and no query was a problem. For us it was the ideal relaxing location for a few days by the beach. Shops very close by.
We stayed at the beginning of August in another BW in Richmond and in Richmond we didn't get the same breakfast as here. In Venice, it was a buffet one and it was great.
The rooms were comfortable and we liked the beds. The hotel must put a little bit of attention to the cleaning aspect, especially in the bedrooms.
Beach was across a very low traffic street— perfect location for beach and just a short walk to historic Venice. The breakfast—- unmatched compared to other smaller hotels! Fresh pastries (best jelly donut ever), coffee, cereal, yogurt, etc.
The hotel (Mainland) was our choice because of late check-in, nightly bridge construction, and limited time to stay. We drove to the beachfront location but there was no office to check in there and working only online was not efficient.
Excellent location for the beach, the Main Street, and nearby parks. Safe, clean, and ample parking. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The hotel has an "Old Florida" charm.
The location was great. We were able to walk to the beach and into the main part of Venice for shopping and restaurants. The area was quiet and the guests and locals were very nice.
This was our second trip to Venice and the Villas. We ride the Legacy Trail and the hotel is so convenient to the trail. The location to restaurants and shops are the best.
