William of course is a great little town or access to the Grand Canyon and of course the railway station for a train trip into the Grand Canyon. Plenty of eateries, taverns and gift stores. Real close to bearizona and(don't forget to check the Internet for discounts).

The Grand Canyon Train was a great excursion and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the Grand Canyon area from the south rim, but I would DEFINITELY DISUADE everyone from lodging at that property.
I personally would NEVER, EVER stay at that hotel again so long as I am breathing.
I hope you can garner my(our) extreme dissatisfaction with this property in particular.

This quiet and quirky town is loacted an hour from the South Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon.
We stayed at the Highlander Motel which is only a short distance walk to some great local resturants and bars, gas stations and grocery stores.
We ate at the Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe, I highly rate the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwhich and the atomosphere was that of a true diner.
The locals are great and I hope any one who vists, enjoys Williams as much as I did!

Friendly staff and cute property with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Super accommodating and easy to find with attractions and places to eat within a 3 to 15 minutes drive depending on which business you chose to visit. It is also about an hours (1hr) drive away from the Grand Canyon. Was a relaxing and fun experience.

Williams is a great little historic town A lot of great eating options and the gateway to the Grand Canyon. The pizza place/brewery is great and the Pine Breakfast Restaurant is amazing. The Route 66 Diner has great service but the food is meh. I wish we had more time to spend in actual Williams and walk around to all of the fun shops!

Williams is a quaint little town but still has plenty to do and great food! Bearizona is always a must and right up the street, and there’s also the coaster and shooting range for fun entertainment. It’s also a great location for many beautiful Poot ions within driving range from the Grand Canyon to Sedona, Jerome, and Flagstaff.
Everyone there was friendly and efficient. We were informed at check in of the COVID restrictions and policies. We did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms or hallway. Buffet breakfast next door at the Fred Harvey Restaurant was plentiful & delicious. The hotel is right next to the train station. The train makes 2 trips to the Grand Canyon daily. The hotel lobby still has 1890's ambiance, but the rooms are modern and comfortable. The little town of Williams is on Route 66 & plays that up.
This motel was built in 1953 on Route 66. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and have maintained the hotel very well. It has been recently remodeled and has large rooms which housed my family of six very comfortably. It is within walking distance of several restaurants including a microbrewery which was built in a historic building that used to be a saloon in the 1800s. The city was very family friendly and felt very safe. Definitely recommend staying here.
The location was great, situated on Route 66. We stayed in Carriages House, which is next to the hotel, the rooms were excellent, clean and comfortable for a family of 4 adults. Parking was available to the rear of the building or just in front. Easy check in and checking out. Outside the room is a shared space with a kettle, tea, coffee, and a microwave. Would highly recommend a stay here, especially if travelling route 66 or visiting Grand Canyon village.
I chose the Ramada/Wyndham in Williams because it's only an hour south of the Grand Canyon and because they offered a suite with three queen beds for our party of 5. The suite was great! It was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The pool and hot tub were welcome places to unwind, and the hotel was only about a mile away from Rt 66 where we were surprised to find a hoppin' place with great pizza and fun shops!
Loved the pool and hot tub! Good soundproofing. We didn't hear the other occupants unless we were in the halls. The cleaning crew seemed to care, and did a great job while we were there. The hotel is just out of town. Williams is small -- but very busy in the evening, and it was nice to be a few minutes away. It's also a very short drive to both the Grand Canyon Railway and Bearizona.
Williams AZ Hostel is the VERY BEST PLACE for Solo Travelers who show up in this area to visit the Grand Canyon. The hostel — just a one hour drive from the South Rim is very clean, with all nice bathroom facilities and a shared kitchen — AND it no longer has dorms ~ so you get a private room ~ all to yoursel—for a Very Good Price!
The town (Williams, AZ) was very tourist-friendly. The hotel was located right in the center of town. The room was good, but the floorplan was not quite what I expected from the pictures I viewed on-line. Especially in light of traveling with another couple. But everything worked out and we were all happy and had a good experience,
Location and price were the key factors for us; we visited to the Grand Canyon early the next day. that said, we loved the style of the Hotel, which fitted well in this Arizona town. An experience we will never forget.
We arrived late, so we were grateful for the clear instructions to get into our room, which was nice and warm.
We stayed here for one night. Sadly only one night because this was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our roadtrip. Such a cute place, they pay attention to detail. Staff is also very nice. Will stay there again if I ever go back to Williams!
Very unique! Interesting to think about all the crazy historical things that have gone on in that building. The best part of this hotel is the town of Williams! if you go, you have to visit the Canyon club bar- full of local characters!
Good location to explore the Grand Canyon and few restaurants in walking distance , easy parking outside of unit .Williams was a nice little town , Safeway grocery store was good for any supplies you needed, but not in walking distance.
Better location and much cheaper than Flagstaff if you're going to Grand Canyon. Clean and simple rooms with everything you actually need. Good coffee in the morning. Who wants hotel breakfast anyway, restaurants nearby are great
Beautiful property and a lovely historical theme. We were sad we didn’t stay here longer. Easy access to Grand Canyon (about 30 mins away) and 5 minute drive into Williams for restaurants and shopping.
This was our first stay at a La Quinta, we'd been on the road several days and this quickly became our favorite hotel and booked another night in Holbrook Arizona the very next day.
We had a large and comfortable room, we enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi, Williams is a lovely city on Route 66. Overall it was great stop on our way to the Grand Canyon.
The pool and hot tub were nice. The food was tasty except for a few things and pretty expensive. Breakfast was good. Williams is a cute little town to visit on Route 66.
