The family who run Hugo Homestay are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free breakfast every day and had lunch a couple of times which was tasty. The owner even helped us out to make our sleeper bus on time by giving us a free ride which was very kind. The pool was nice and clean, good value for money ☺️

What a lovely homestay!! Really recommend it! The owner is a really lovely man, so smiley, kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to make our stay great, providing us with water and snacks in the extreme heat, coming to pick us up at 3:30am from our sleeper bus and also from our tourist activity when we couldn’t get a taxi. He then took us on a tour of the rice fields, all without asking for anything in exchange. On top of all of this the location is beautiful, very close to the duck stop and the rooms are very clean and big. Couldn’t recommend it more :))

The staff were very helpful, even before we arrived. They helped us to get a birthday cake for one of our friends and offered to book caving trips for us too. The swimming pool was nice and the dinner was delicious.

I am not an outdoorsy type of person but this place changed that for me. The staff were extremely helpful and could spesk great english especially Tu she is a sweet heart, the animals were lovely and friendly (i love the pig) and ming th dog slways wanted a cuddle.

Excellent location in a wonderful green garden in rural area. We had a very spacious, luxurious and comfortable room with two bathrooms. There are many hammocks and seats to relax in, and they have a beautiful sunset view from the garden. Free bikes although I had some technical difficulties with mine - it broke along the way, but the staff was so nice to pick us up. The food in the restaurant is a little more expensive than Vietnam standard I would say, but still well priced and worth it - very delicious! It was very clean and the staff was lovely. They have a podcast that tells you all about the history of the surrounding area and they provide you with excellent information on your options. I highly recommend to add this to your Vietnam itinerary, stay for a few days and explore the National park with the Phong Nha easy riders (=motorbike taxi)! The caves in the area are stunning!
