The location of the cottage is beautiful. On the hill overlooking Vianden only a 15 minute walk from the city center (a walk which initially looks more steep and challenging then it actually is) The cottage is very well equipped and was very clean. Although the location is slightly remote, it was very easy to find. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. If you want to go and explore Vianden and it's surroundings for a few days, We would definitely recommend staying at the Vianden cottage.

It is a really lovely place. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is large and very well equipped. We could easily cater our meals. For English speaking guests it is a bonus having BBC 1and 2 on the television. The place is spotlessly clean. There are many interesting places to visit close at hand. The nearest decent supermarket is about 20 minutes by car.

The location was perfect. Close to the river and several hiking trails. We walked to the nearby town of Vianden and visited the castle, and we also walked across the nearby bridge to Germany and hiked to a castle on that side of the river. It was beautiful and peaceful!

It was just perfect! The house was very clean and tidy, and has anything you need for a few days abroad. Also the complementaty bottle of local wine was a nice touch :-p The house itself is on a great location as well. Easy access to lots of hiking trails and nice villages in the neighbourhood.

The building is very old (dating back to 1683a.d.) and breathes nostalgia, with dark wooden beams, slate floors and low doors. Breakfast is good, staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. However, their dinner is the stuff of gods. Try their woodfire grilled steaks or their cheese fondue and you will keep coming back for more.
