I have been looking forward to write this review, because this place is the best place we have ever been!!! And we have traveled a lot..From we booked to we left yesterday, we have felt so welcome and been taken so good care of! Excellence is the best word, and in every way! Hospitality, staff, food, the bungalows, housekeeping and the setting is spectacular, on one of the most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar. It’s easy to go to every parts of the island, because they have the best drivers on the planet. So calm, safe cars, on time, waiting for you while you do your plan for that day. They organize massage for you outside your bungalow, private barbecue, and set up trips to different activities on the island that you want to see. And the prices are good. What is good to know is that Jambiani Villas have three properties on the beach. The one in the middle has the restaurant for breakfast and other meals. We stayed on the property 350 meters north, but loved that breakfast walk every morning on the beach! The bungalow had the most amazing sea view, and every morning we sat on the balcony taking it all in, before we jumped into the turquoise water and walked for breakfast. They also offer room service for free, if you want your breakfast in your house, but I recommend the 5 min walk! It is also good to know that this is Africa! One row behind, you meet the locals and you see the poverty and the big differences. But you also see how important tourism are for the locals. We buy their beautiful handmade things, they got work on different properties and they are extremely friendly. We were totally safe even after sunsets, walking to a restaurant along the beach.

Great value for money. The surrounding is amazing, palm trees and the ocean all around. Really nice and quiet, perfect place to relax. The nearby beach is picture perfect, without too many people around. Jambiani is the number one beach location on the entire island.

Fantastic property! Huge villa with private pool, volleball court and beach hut (with bedroom). Excellent service and communication with manager Callister. Houskeeping cleaning the villa perfectly every dag, extremely helpful and friendly. Gardener keeping the huge property beautiful. And a small group of masai keeping the property safe, always kind and attentive. Our group of 8 (two families with teenagers) could not have chosen a better place to stay.

I absolutely love this location, it is perfect, at high tide the stairs, leading to the beach from the property are covered in water, at low tide, you have super soft sand to walk to the sea which is just a few metres away. Great swimming location. And everything that you need is in the apartment including an ice cold fridge. If you don’t feel like cooking , there is a restaurant next door with good value food and drinks. There are many other restaurants further on the beach if you feel like walking 15 minutes on the beach, including a very nice pizza place. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here for the whole Zanzibar time and make this my base in the future. If it’s still available, just book it

everything !!! Callister The manager it was unbelievable! And the Maasai security guard was awesome .. we spent so much time with him and enjoyed every minute. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this property was. It was mentioned that the electricity goes out which happened once but it was only for about 10 minutes.. Callister was so responsive and helped us figure out what activities we should do where and when along with taxi drivers. if you are lucky enough to go to Jambiani you should stay here!

I've stayed in the cozy bungalow but for some personal reasons I asked to change the room. Bianca, the owner, was super friendly and helpful, so I was able to change into another room uncomplicated. Everyone was so nice, welcoming and helpful. It was the perfect place to start our journey in Zanzibar. You have a great view on the ocean with cozy loungers, a cool bar and it’s really quiet and not so touristic. They helped organizing dolphin tours and everything we needed. Nearby we rented some bikes and drove to Paje, which was also great. Go there!! ;) We were so sad to leave !!!

Driftwood Beach Lodge is a little piece of paradise and we had an amazing time thanks to Kerry, Brady and the wonderful Driftwood team. The room was nice, the food simple but good and the place generally speaking is very well maintained. During low tides, after an amazing walk on the beach of Jambiani, you can enjoy the pool which has an incredible view. We really felt at home in this small cosy relaxing lodge.
