Only a short drive from several counties including Galway, Clare, Offaly and Tipperary. Service on the phone isn't great and no wifi as stated but that didn't bother us. Just get out and enjoy yourself, plenty of places to go and things to do. We went everywhere. Lena is such a lovely host and very informative of things to do around the area and also some local history. Really lovely lady. Thanks for everything Lena especially the lovely eggs you gave us. Have nothing but positive things to say about the Sweet haven Chalet! Spotlessly clean, warm, snug, ideally located a few mins from Oughterard a nd the hosts were so accommodating. Fresh eggs left for breakfast, cinnamon rolls, a stocked kitchen with cooking oil and tea, it was ideal. Everything you need for a quiet weekend break. We hope to return ASAP!

And a pretty beach nearby.
