We loved this cottage, it was a little heavenly home (while a snow storm was happening outside) and we felt warm, cosy & safe. Well equipped, and of course beautiful surroundings. The property is in a gorgeous location overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Lots of options for hiking and sightseeing nearby. Cozy and comfortable cabin had everything we needed. I’m so glad that we booked 2 nights - you’ll regret leaving after just one night. We didn’t see the lake monster, but did have beautiful aurora borealis shows both nights. This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip around Iceland.

Sólbrekka Holiday Homes is located in Mjóifjörður, a remoted fjord in east Iceland. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. This place was amazing. The view, the hot tub, everything about it was amazing. I couldn’t have imagined a better little place to stop for a couple of days. All I can say is WOW!

Set on the most eastern fjord, Nordfjördur, this family-run farm stay is 7 km from Neskaupstadur town centre. It provides free WiFi, scenic country views, as well as horse riding tours on site. The scenic views on our way to Skorrahestar was incredible and the place itself is beautiful, right in nature with a wonderful daughter and dad who welcomed us warmly! The fresh breakfast was as well a plus.

There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. Very homey and well maintained. We had a great time, the place is very cozy and next to nature

Surrounded by nature, these countryside cottages offer views over the Lagarfljot River. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and furnished terrace with a BBQ. Egilsstadir town centre is 30 km away. Excellent location. Wished we could have stayed an extra night.
