Was a 60s motel that has been kept updated, but has kept the character of a 60's motel. Extremely clean. Very comfortable and homey. Maids were wonderful. Saw that they do not have an elevator, called to request a ground floor and our request was honored. LOVED the hot chocolate and snacks available all day in the office!

1. I was traveling with my parents. The unit has two bedrooms. So it was perfect for us.
2. The kitchen was fully furnished. It had everything you need for cooking, including some basic seasoning. There were not many good restaurants in the town or at the park. So bringing some groceries and cooking would be the best option. The kitchen really helped us a lot.
3. The host was very considerate. My name was on the door when checking in so it was really straightforward to find the right unit. Fruits, water, umbrellas were provided.
4. We could park anywhere near the home, which was very convenient for us.

West Yellowstone is a resort town built for a basically...
West Yellowstone is a resort town built for a basically captive audience of seasonal tourists. Consequently, as one might expect, it is expensive and chock-full of kitsch. Yellowstone NP is in a very remote area, and in-park accommodations are limited, expensive, and need to be booked a year (or more) in advance. So, staying outside the park, in West Yellowstone and Gardiner, is a popular option. We stayed in both, to have convenient access to different parts of the park. Yellowstone is huge, and trying to explore the park from just one location can result in an inordinate amount of driving and wasted time.
So, unless you're camping in the park or fortunate enough to land a room at one or more the in-park lodges, you will be staying in West Yellowstone or Gardiner, or both. They are tourist towns, first and foremost, and exist in their current state only because they are so close to the park and have no real competition. My better half doesn't mind the inflated prices and relentless kitsch. I do. YMMV.

It is convenient to Yellowstone, and the Inn is very close to the park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, tourist shopping, and museums. The drive travellings to and from is beautiful. I recommend The Grey Wolf Inn.

Nice town with lots of choices for food, shopping and motels. Unfortunately, I would not stay at the Yellowstone Country Inn again. The Outpost had a very good breakfast. Dinner at Three Bears Restaurant and Old Town Cafe was very good. Staff at all three restaurants was also very good.

High Marks Rentals were great in customer service and friendliness renting great new model snowmobiles. Great eating establishments. Parked the snowmobiles right outside Kelly Inn for convenience. Full active days in the wonders of what God created.
Drove our snowmobiles to eat at night! Drove to the grocery. Gased up each day at the Sinclair a couple blocks on the way to trails and open fields. Very deep deep powdery snow. Especially up on Two Tops.
Tired at night. ☺️😴

Make sure you book snowmobiling tours to the national park at least a week ahead, we didn't know the park was closed on the west side so we ended up not seeing anything :/ (snow coach is extremely pricey, almost 500 bucks for two, so we couldn't afford it) snowmobiling is so much fun we ride on trails.

Most incredible trip ever!!
Most incredible trip ever!! Our family of five snowmobiled, saw so much wildlife, enjoyed dog sledding (Spirit of the North), shopping, and a sleigh ride to a nearby ranch (Parade Rest Ranch), where we ate a delicious chili lunch. To see Yellowstone in the winter was magical!
We ate at Bullwinkles, Hanks, Wild West Pizzaria & our favorite shop was the Rustic Bison.

I rode to the hotel on a $30,000 BMW motorcycle, with my wife on the back. I asked the husband and wife attendants at the desk if I could park the bike near the entrance, where there is good lighting and where any employees might easily see the bike. This really reduces the chance of somebody bothering the bike while I sleep, and honestly, 99% of hotels allow this. My request was quickly granted, and I was so happy about that! I can’t tell you how great it is when a hotel goes the extra mile to give you peace of mind about your “baby.”
Breakfast included! It opens at 6.30 AM, which is good to grab something to eat and leave to wildlife!
Swimming pool + SPA included!
Spacious room and "mountain-home" design + furniture appreciated. Fridge and microwave in the room.
Staff was very nice and welcoming.
It's located in West Yellowstone, nice town to dine out, buy souvenirs and grab a sandwich at the supermarket. Kelly Inn is very close to McDonald's, which is also great when you're hungry and in a hurry, too. Parking lot available.
Explorer Cabins were a really good place to stay. More fun then a standard hotel room when in Yellowstone. The pictures are true, units are very clean and comfortable. The firepits are a cool bonus feature and especially the Smores kits for the kids. For the most part the Cabins are built well to keep most outside from entering. Proximity to West Yellowstone park entrance is perfect.
location good for visiting Yellowstone Park, price-quality (in our opinion) better than inside the park. Coffee facilities, swimming pool, microwave, breakfast, wifi and mobile phone coverage all available (these were not available inside Yellowstone in the much more expensive 'park' hotels. Nice park with playground for kids to play next to hotel, stores closeby
The chalet is at the end of the street about 6 miles west of West Yellowstone. Residential area, very quiet, in the middle of the woods. Everything worked and was fine, the house was spaceous and comfortable. We stayed for three nights. If you want a quiet stay away from all the tourists - this is it!
Great location if you you want to go into Yellowstone but not stay in the actual park (camping or way high cost lodging). Lots of shops near by. staff was awesome. Be warmed if you are looking for fancy it is not. It is a quaint, comfortable little place to rest your head at the end of the day.
While not a 5 star hotel, the rooms were clean and well-kept. The free breakfast was good and the buffet was served by an employee behind a plastic partition, ensuring cleanliness. All of the hotels in West Yellowstone are expensive during the summer, so for the price it was a good value.
Extra large rooms.
We got Queen beds instead of double beds. So, had a good quality sleep.
Breakfast was excellent! So many varieties.
Best place to stay in West Yellowstone region.
Easy access to Yellowstone Park.
Would definitely recommend this place for others.
Hotel has a very nice breakfast that is available early, which is very nice when you want to get to the park early enough. Rooms are comfortable, albeit simple. West Yellowstone is small, so everything is walking distance. Very close to Yellowstone park entrance.
The hotel is sparkling clean, the employees were professional and friendly. It seemed like a top notch operation. Exactly as described. Wonderful location near the park entrance, walkable to all of West Yellowstone.
Yellowstone Park Hotel has a really good location 5 minutes away from west entrance. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is not all nice and polite, but we should thank Nick and Rob for the great service.
This hotel is extremely clean and staff was always friendly! The location is perfect to visit Yellowstone and walk around West Yellowstone in the end of the day. It definitely doesn't feel like a Motel.
Great location right in town could walk everywhere and only a 10 min drive to yellowstone park entrance. Hotel was super cozy and gave a cool yellowstone vibe. Beds were very comfy!
Location, cleanliness, price (even it is 3xpensive but it is West Yellowstone , a popular vacation location, I would not claim the price is high for a motel cauSe it's location)
