We wanted to be close to the start and finish, but not too close. BB&B came highly recommended but we didn't know the city at all. At first we thought it might be a little too far away but then we realized that Rotterdam is in fact a quickly developing city and many neighborhoods are in flux. We came to love the Rijnhaven, especially the restaurants of Deliplein that exceed even the variety of our home of Amsterdam. The center of Rotterdam is not for everyone. The staff at BB&B were super accommodating and friendly and helped us fuel up for the run and decompress after. Without question basing ourselves at BB&B made our visit so much better.

Discover ss Rotterdam, a former Holland-America Line ship, presenting cozy accommodations by the harbor in the vibrant Katendrecht district. nice welcome from hotel staff, room was amazing, bed where comfy. the ship was maintained well and everything was found as expected. we took the historic tour through the ship and saw the machine room. the staff was able to explain everything about the ship and the audio guide which was included in the tour helped us to understand the history of the ship. parking space is in the same area, which was very convinient.

This is a newly opened budget hotel with descent basic amenities. The staff were wonderful, the recommendations on restaurants, shops, parking, and transportation were all spot on. The area is well connected with many cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. Overall the hotel offers good value for money. What stood out is the good internet connection, their wifi was much better than expected, I could do a video-conference in my room with my corporate VPN with very little jitter.
