Hotel Pineapple was the best hotel in all the hotels we stayed in during our 3 week trip to California. We had some great hotels on our trip, but the Hotel Pineapple went the extra mile. We found all the hotel staff to be warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Totally excellent. Also the rooms were well thought out and were spotless. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Altogether faultless. Oh and last but not least, the cups in the room were crockery and not paper and we also had two real glass beakers, not the usual plastic ones.

Set in San Diego’s vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, Gaslamp Plaza Suites is a historical, European-style hotel built in 1913. The Melting Pot restaurant is located on-site. Great location, beautiful view, small room but with kitchen stuff, microwave and fridge. I loved the Classic decoration full of different awesome textures! the bed was nice and comfortable! We arrived early and they allowed us to check in and even when they didn't give us the room we could be on the terrace with a beautiful view and they gave us very good recommendations to go for breakfast. The staff is super attentive and friendly

Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter is located 500 metres from Horton Plaza Shopping Center. It offers an on-site bar and restaurant. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The property is in a great location, and a short walk to many restaurants in the Gaslamp area. The room was very clean and modern with a fantastic shower.

Coronado Island is only 15 minutes’ drive from this San Diego hotel, which offers a rooftop pool and accommodation with kitchenettes. A free daily full American breakfast is served each morning. Our stay was only one night but we booked it so we could get a good sleep after a long flight with stopovers. The Hotel delivered with a very quiet room and a very comfortable bed and bedding. We didn’t eat the breakfast which was provided but ate across the street. The evening before sleeping we ate at a Greek restaurant across the street.

Set in the centre of San Diego, Palihotel San Diego is situated 1.2 km from San Diego Convention Center and 1.2 km from San Diego - Santa Fe Depot Amtrak Station. It was nice how they transformed the old Saint James hotel. The staff at the Palihotel San Diego went above and beyond making our stay excellent.
