Amazing place, quiet, private outdoor shower, little patio in front of every bungalow overlooking the pool, outdoor kitchen has everything you need to make coffee and breakfast, the hosts recommended and helped us book a catamaran tour for us for the next day that turned out to be the highlight of our stay in Tamarindo! Highly recommend!!

The hot tub is a top feature of this tent. The tent's kitchen, which has a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker, is available for cooking and storing food. Everything. It's a beautiful dome with a huge comfortable bed and great views. Delicious breakfast and lovely hosts. The only mistake we made was to book for just one night. Should have stayed at least two 😊. Can highly recommend

This tent's standout feature is the pool with a view. Guests will find a refrigerator, a dishwasher, kitchenware and a microwave in the well-fitted kitchen. The tent also features a barbecue. Super cute little pod in the jungle just outside Tamarindo. It's on a platform facing the ocean in the distance surrounded by jungles. You can see birds and monkeys. The kitchen was better equipt than I expected and underneath the platform are hammocks in the shade if it gets too warm. The pod was decent and has aircon, although we didn't need to use it much because there is also a fan. The owners are lovely and speak great English too. The last few metres on the road are rough but we made it with a sedan rental car so don't worry if you have a vehicle. Would recommend for a chilled out night in the jungle!

What stood out to me about Iluminar was how thoughtful everything is! It’s as if they thought of every possible detail that could make your stay homey and they did it! I appreciate that it’s not just a money-grab spot and that they actually care about the comfort of their customers. On top of the little extra comforts in the room there are extra additives like filtered water and complimentary surf boards! WHAT?! That saves travelers so much money! The staff is smiley and approachable! It’s beautiful and romantic! The short walk to the beach is exotic and exciting! It was just awesome overall! Coming back with my husband!

Luis was a most gracious , interesting , and helpful host. We loved the creative use of his space here. It was extremely comfortable and welcoming place to spend some time.

Camping area or in the hammocks with access to the communal services of the structure. Our room was a decent size, spotlessly clean and good WiFi connection. We had a double room, but most of the other guests were sharing. Good facilities and friendly staff.

As a family of four, two kids of 13 and 10, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at the ranch a lot. We had a comfortable room, with a spacious veranda and a nice view of the surrounding nature. The kids really had a lot of fun in the swimming pools, with tobogan slide and jacuzzi. Even though it was a bit drizzling, they had a very good time! With the guidance of the friendly owner Jorge, we also managed to spot some nice birds like Tucans, Caracara, Woodpeckers, etc. The ranch also has a nice trail for hiking.
