I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

Built on an elevated riverbank, these luxury, canvas tent suites are set on stilted wooden decks. We (couple) LOVED everything there. I cannot overstate my appreciation of this stay at Kapama Buffalo Camp. We felt warmly welcomed and looked after, it was lovely from start till the end - all the hospitality staff were wonderful at their job. We were very fortunate for the safari game drives as well being able to spot all the Big 5 and the experience was made amazing by Themba and Foster. It was a life-changing experience. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
