The property has all facilities. The rooms are cosy, with Alia being a great host. Lot of places to watch nearby, and bus stop to city center is just a minute’s walk from the property. Overall, loved the stay!

The property is a calm oasis, with a gorgeous garden and beautiful art pieces from around the world on every floor. The furnishings are very tasteful and enhance the Georgian design. Our breakfasts were a highlight,and some of the best we’ve had. Rowena is a masterful cook and baker (her sourdough homemade bread is addictive). Her husband Tom gave us great suggestions on where to go and eat. We wished we had more time to try everything on his list!

It was an amazing experience to stay at Straven Guesthouse. I felt at home, the bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful and warm. Breakfast was a whole variety of delicious dishes, home made and beautiful. The sea front is only a few steps away and I enjoyed walking along the sea promenade to the cafés - and walking along the sea shore. I felt looked after and cared for by Sinead and Chris. Such a lovely place with a lovely staff, who was always ready to answer your questions and interested in your day. Good breakfast brought to the room and a nice quiet location close to bus into city center and just a short walk to the Botanical Gardens

Lorna was an amazing host. In general, accommodation around Edinburgh is quite expensive so we found this place which was relatively affordable compared to other places and had a high rating. It is a house-turned-b&b, has 3 small rooms and a nice small dining room. Everything was super clean and Lorna was the friendliest host we have ever met. She gives you a small form to fill every night to get your breakfast preferences and time to eat. Her cooking is lovely. Definitely recommend her full Scottish breakfast with Haggis. She cooked the best haggis out of the 3 restaurants we tried. The only downside was that the place is quite far from the city (45 min bus ride - take X27) and there is only one bus that goes there but if you catch it and don't mind the travel time, it is definitely worth a stay.

Frukosten överträffade förväntningarna. Så mycket gott att välja på. Mina allergier bemöttes perfekt. Lugn och skön atmosfär. Sköna sängar. Rent och snyggt överallt. Bra bussförbindelser in till centrum. Gångavstånd till shopingcenter.

Fantastiskt trevlig värdinna. Blev så väl omhändertagna! Väldigt flexibelt med ankomsttid och möjlighet att ställa in bagaget redan på morgonen. Fint, stort rum och fräscht badrum. Smidigt med buss till flygplatsen.
