Situated 42 km from Oita Bank Dome, 湯布院月灯り offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. The owner kindly picked me up from the station at night, and in the morning she also drove me to the lake. She also made me a breakfast of some fruits and corn soup. I feel that the hospitality was really good.

Everything is new, tatami is new as well, so my husband did not have any allergy. Onsen is big and very clean. The host is more then just helpful - he gave us a ride to places we wanted to go, also drop off and pick up from City Center.
