We have to book a place the last minute as we changed our travel plan. The hotel was randomly chosen from booking.com list based on price offered. The staff Michael (or maybe he's the owner?) is attentive. I reached the place during the rain & he went out with an umbrella making sure I'm not soaking wet. The rooms were clean & cozy. Hotel used floor panels for the room, easy to clean & zero dust. The pantry is free to access & use, with nice view. We loved the room decoration, all the british street names & incorporation of green indoor plants everywhere, which is refreshing after a long drive.. Everything was pleasant.

Situated 5.2 km from AEON Mall Kinta City, Just Austin Guesthouse offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 7.4 km from Ipoh Parade. Very good, clean and peaceful place, excellent value. Just across street from a big supermarket, and just in front of the house there is a coconut seller and a fried banana stall, which we visited daily.. Check in was a breeze, and owner allowed us later check out before our train back to KL.

Located in Ipoh and only 1.8 km from Ipoh Parade, The Tudor provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. - absolutely wonderful staff. They helped us late at night even though I made a mistake for check in. They were also extremely friendly and very helpful. - the decorations and hotel theme are so cute. I thought perhaps the maximalist style would mean there was more dust but it is extremely well cleaned. - they take security very seriously here. I always felt very safe.

The guesthouse is a bit far from the old town, but it is easy to get a taxi with Grab and it costs only about 11 MYR to get to the old town. Even after adding taxi fares, the total cost is still lower than that for most decent hotels in the city. Most importantly, it is located in a quiet neighbourhood.

Set in a restored 1930's shop house, Sojourn Beds & Café is an affordable and cosy accommodation situated in Taiping. It is such a quaint, comfortable, cosy, nice place… its located very central and i loved my stay as it felt like an actual home ☺️ been on the road for few years, so it feels good!! The energy is very peaceful and the owner is superfriendly and helpful as well. I will definitely return if im in Taiping again 🥰

Located in Nipah Bay, Nipah Guesthouse is a 5-minute walk from Nipah Beach and a 10-minute walk from the Coral Beach. It offers tastefully decorated accommodation nestled in peaceful surroundings. My little son loved the aframe cottage, the dipping pool and the well mentained garden. There is also a fridge and very clean outdoor facilities to make tea and coffee in morning. The property is very near to the hornbills and in walking distance to coral beach but it is still very quiet. The owners were fantastic and very kind. They answered all my emails very fast, changed our ferry tickets and took us with their lovely family to the ferryport. It was one of the best stops on the whole journey!
