Everything was very nice and welcoming. Family dinners and atmosphere in this place makes it very unique, especially when you learn the whole story of the creation of the hostel. I felt like home in the other part of the world and it's a very precious and rare thing. One of the best accommodation experiences that I had in my life! Already missing it!

Everything is new, clean, tidy and modern. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I am also glad to find a female dorm with the bathroom inside the room. They even have an extra toilet so you have 2 toilets for a room of six. It also has a good location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket and bus station. The port is also nearby. I forgot to mention that the hostel has a back yard and wonderful views. One side you can see mount Pico and the other is Sao Jorge island.

Lockers in the dorm room (bring a padlock or they offer to give you one), views of the mountain and a great kitchen, lounge and garden. Location was central and 2 mins to the port.

Obiekt Engenho Hostel usytuowany jest w miejscowości Lajes do Pico. W każdym pokoju w obiekcie znajduje się biurko, telewizor z płaskim ekranem oraz prywatna łazienka. Pościel i ręczniki są... Very nice location, one of the best in Pico, in my opinion. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice view over the ocean :) The house is very clean and equipped with the basics one might need. The communication was very good, at all times there was a phone number available. And the bonus: books! Books everywhere!! Loved this place so much!

This Azorean guest house is a 15-minute walk from the sea and features comfortable accommodation overlooking Faial and the Pico Mountain, the highest point in Portugal. Nice, calme place, very strong breakfast!
