No loadshedding. Located in historic downtown Bokaap, this newly renovated rooftop townhouse offers easy access to all Cape Town city centre has to offer. Walk down to bustling Bree Street bars and restaurants, or to the trendy De Waterkant cafes. Enjoy sundowners on deck and take in the views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Devil's Peak and Signal Head as you plan your hiking trips. Or lounge around and enjoy the sounds of the city while you braai. A 10 min drive and you're at the beach.
I love noticing the smaller details that make a space more welcoming and warm. It tells me that the person has considered me without even knowing me. I hope this has translated into how I have furnished our apartment and would welcome any and all comments that would have made you feel more seen. I am very responsive via messaging. I am available for check-in between 14h00 and 20h00 and for checkout between 8h00 and 11h00. I respond to urgent requests personally, and if required, the caretaker is available for on-site issues.
This historic Bokaap neighbourhood is home to generations of local residents and the famous Chiappini Street Mosque. Also known as the Jameah Masjid, this is the first mosque in South Africa, and is visible from the terrace. As the Bilal calls worshippers to prayer, take a moment to pause and reflect on your day. Considered the birthplace of Islam, this Malay Quarter was founded in the 1760s when the houses were rented to slaves from Malaysia and Indonesia. Then, all the houses had to be painted white. Now, as an expression of freedom, houses are painted in the brightest colours. Two secure off-street parking spots available behind security gate in cordoned-off lane behind apartment. Walk down to De Waterkant or downtown to Bree Street and Loop Street, to enjoy all the city has to offer. Take a short 5 minute drive to VnA Waterfront or 10 minute drive to Camps Bay Beach or the Sea Point Promenade.
