There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.... Our stay at the Rooms at Woody Point was really laid back. Our room was #5 and was very clean. It has a well stocked kitchenette. The rain shower was great and they have in-floor heating in the shower room! The view from our king room was stunning of the Gros Morne National park, Tableland Mountains and Bonne Bay. Such a magnificent view! The king bed was very comfortable with the best pillows. You can order breakfast the night before and Helen or Donna will bring it to your room the night before, so you can have it in the morning. You’ll have a choice of 5. The Pizza on the Porch is more than just pizza. It is a gastronomy of flavours from different cultures. There’s a 4 course meal that starts off with a local appetizer, we had the shredded Rabbit confit, ginger carrot soup, salad with herbs from her garden and of course pizza. We had the Giovanni and my favourite the French Shore pizza. We finish with a chocolate pudding. Oh so good!! Great big shout out to Helen for making everything clean and comfortable and to our incredible owner/chef and host, Donna! If you’re ever in the area and need a place to stay we highly recommend the Rooms at Woody Point! Not only for the room and view but the food as well!

We were finishing up a bus tour of Newfoundland and Labrador.
We were finishing up a bus tour of Newfoundland and Labrador. St John's was the last stop. We toured the Geo Centre. It was very well done except for the supposed 3D movies which they supplied the wrong glasses for. Don't waste your time on the movie but the rest of the site was excellent.

More stores, hotel rooms and restaurants than any other town of comparable size. Mid way between St John;s and Gander, right on the Trans Canada Highway. Boating, snowmobiling and skiing all here. 3 golf courses within a half hour drive. A must visit for any trip to Newfoundland and Labrador
