The traditionally built, historic wood and stone house Flyhof in Weesen is a family-owned hotel, set directly at the shores of Lake Walen. 900 years old historical building, top notch food and extremely polite staff, even for Switzerland. 10/10, no doubt.

In a quiet location above Lake Walensee, the Hotel Neu-Schönstatt offers a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lake. Free WiFi is available and the Flumserberg Cable Car is 2 km away. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Beautiful location, wonderful views, very modern facilities!

Seminarhotel Lihn enjoys a quiet location in Filzbach on the Kerenzerberg plateau. It offers panoramic views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten mountain and free Wi-Fi. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Everything was very clean. No options to eat dinner nearby, so make a plan before you get there or eat at the hotel.

In a bike trip across Switzerland with stays in 10 different hotels, this was easily our favorite. Not fancy or at all pretentious. Just super friendly and relaxed with a drop dead view.

On the slopes of the Flumserberg Mountain, Hotel Bergheim is a 2-minute drive from Flums and the Tannenheim Ski Area. Owners were very friendly and professional! Good breakfast and great location

Just 300 metres from the Maschgenkamm Cable Car, the Cristal Hotel is right next to the slopes and a ski lift of the Tannenboden/Flumserberg Ski Area. Presented with a nice welcome drink on arrival. Gifted many discount vouchers for ski equipment rental, ski lessons and ski passes. Staff were friendly and made nice recommendations on surrounding local restaurants.

Rooms at Hotel Sonne feature panoramic windows with a view of the Glarus Alps. The hotel is just 4 km away from Walensee Lake and Wi-Fi is free in public areas. Amazing view, generous breakfast, welcoming staff!

Set at the entrance of the Glarus Alps, lintharena ag enjoys a quiet location in Näfels. It offers rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV as well as 4 bed rooms with shared bathroom on the floor. the rooms are well made and silent, the very best swimming pool facilities are for free too.
