The patio with the view on the arenal volcano is really nice to chill. The gardens on the property are very beautiful and you can see different animals too. The swimming pool was a nice bonus.

The hotel is located below the Arenal Volcano. In the center of the town of La Fortuna. Excellent location. The reception staff is very polite and helpful. They speak English. The rooms are large and spacious. Hot and strong water in the shower. Beautiful and clean pool with stunning views.

We saw many animals from the breakfast restaurent and there was a wonderful guide at the restaurent showing us how to see different iguanas, alligators and heaps of birds. The pool is very nice and there is also 3 hit spring pools with 40 degrees warm water. Very nice. All in all a wonderful stay.

Alajuela is a typical Costa Rican city
The city is like most cities in Costa Rica: not so well organized, full of life, colors, noice. There is not so much to see, except for the Zoo (Zoo Ave). It is a bit out of town but very good indeed! It is built into the forest, has lots of interesting animals in it. It is quite hard to find restaurants in Alajuela. You can easily find fast food but if you want something else, you need to use a bit time to find a place.
