We are looking forward to returning to Rinconcito Lodge! The whole place is comfortable, we liked our junior mountain suite very much, the staff friendly and helpful, food is very good with an easy-going schedule so we only ate two meals a day, perfect for us. The nesting colony of montezuma oropendola birds at the entrance is amazing! Westayed 4 nights And I’m glad we did. This allowed us to rest one day, then took the combo tour on our second day - Horseback ride into the Santa Maria part of the park, wonderful fun and private uncrowded zip line tour with our guides Jose and Ronald, and continued further into the park on horse guided by Terencio who took us deeper into the park eventually on foot to the warm springs river and waited very patiently while we had lunch there and enjoyed the warm waters. he even helped us with the mud. our third day we drove ourselves into the Pailas sector of the park and did our own hiking tour. Rinconcito is a peaceful place with no pressure. as far as we can tell the rooms are all very nice with a range of qualities from smaller rooms close together to the more separate mountain suites that we stayed in. oh a great trail on the property to a waterfall we swam under too.

Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs. Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price. Quiet and isolated surroundings. Welcoming host who advised on on best attractions , logistics decisions and everything!

I really loved this place. It is surrounded by nature, and you can hear birds singing and other animal sounds day and night. It is run by kind and helpful people, and there are two friendly dogs and a parrot in the house. I enjoyed an excellent vegan breakfast every morning. I recommend this bed&breakfast for those who are seeking counterbalance to the city life.

The room location was in a quiet location of the property. We wished the room had A/C but the fan helped cool us down. The loved all of trees and the location being away from any town or city. The breakfast was very good

Set in Guayabos, Pochote Lodge offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The host Francisco is so friendly and great to chat with (in spanish). Our rental car could not make it up the road as its quite steep and has loose gravel (we had a 2WD geely gx3) but Francisco very kindly offered to leave our car in the parking lot of a nearby gated hotel and he drove us up and back down the next morning. The breakfast was traditional costa rican and very well made. The property was pretty and we saw keel billed toucans in the morning. The beds were comfortable, there was a small kitchen we could use and everything was very clean. Would recommend!
