We can only write positive about Das Stein. This is one of the best experience we ever had in any hotels. The nice and helpful attitude of Joseph and the full team is extraordinary. This is a small oasis/garden in a charming Bavarian town. Breakfast is amazing with lots of extra choices and tasteful dishes. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Free car parking available. If you have chance go for a short walk at night in the town and enjoy the peace. We will definitely return again.

The very old government building has been converted into a very updated and modern hotel with the original old exterior and a very well designed and engineered interior which is aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable. Rooms are large and clean , bright and comfortable. Bathroom is modern , clean and bright . The restaurant serves an excellent and diverse menu at a very reasonable price point . Great inside and secure bicycle storage . The best part of this excellent hotel restaurant is the staff . The reception was very friendly and helpful . One of the owners , Alex Häusler , who we had the opportunity to meet and speak at length with was a great host - full of knowledge and local history and was a pleasure to speak with . His English was much better than my German . Will return to this place whenever we are in the area on one of our bicycling adventures in Bavaria ,

The welcome was very warm. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with such a great choice and the freshly cooked scrambled eggs. There was lots of information provided on places to visit and eat. There was a kettle and tea and coffee provided in the room with plates, glasses and cups and saucers. We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a place the couple running it were lovely and we have no hesitation in recommending this place for a fantastic peaceful and comfortable stay.
