Dating back to the 19th-century, this partially renovated 4-star hotel offers rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. One of the nicest hotels I've ever been to. Everything was top notch. The room was wonderfully designed and quite cool even though I could not spot a central AC (heatwave). Breakfast that did cost extra 25e was to die for, do not skip it. Just go there if you're staying in Hamburg and have ability to drive around for seeing other places. Elbe river shore was like a 2 km walk away, otherwise it is just a rural small home area.

I hardly imagined that a hotel can be so great. Immaculate environment in the heart of the city. Easily accessible, incredibly large rooms with private hi-fi and all necessary amenities. Excellent breakfast and great room service. The staff was excellent. Sparking clean and neat place to stay.

This 5-star hotel is located on the Alster Lake in the heart of Hamburg. The Fairmont Hamburg offers gourmet cuisine, free WiFi and a luxury spa and fitness club. The Best Hotel In Germany I have ever stayed, far better than eg HH Atlantic or HH Reichshof, also definitely much nicer than eg Berlin Adlon. I was for 17th time in HH and first time stayed there. Promised myslef to come back. Definitely I may recommend it as I tend to spend good 1m each year in various hotels across different countries and my stay in HVJ absolutely belonged to the most spledid ones:)

The staff couldn't have been more helpful with our needs & requests and the breakfast was excellent.
