Ideally set in Santo Domingo, HOSTAL BOUTIQUE 53 offers air-conditioned rooms, a terrace and free WiFi. The hostal is located in a calle not very far away from the Zona Colonial. You can reach it simply by walking. My room was very small but perfect for my needs. Also, it can be a plus if the day is very humid and hot and you need to refresh the room very fast! There's a small refrigerator (very useful), a very cozy sofa and a super comfy bed. The staff has been very kind and helpful with me with the late check in/late check out and all my needs! Generally, everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom is very big and clean, with hot water. The terrace is super nice: so relaxing and incredibly silent. I read a book and I felt like I wasn't in the center of Santo Domingo!

Friendly and helpful owner Francky and all the staff, comfortable room and great spacious bathroom, abundant and delicious breakfast (not included but great price). We stayed only 1 night but also recommended for longer stays, excellent location in the colonial area.

Hotel Villa Colonial is located in the heart of Santo Domingo's historic centre, and offers an outdoor pool, tropical gardens and a charming patio. The air-conditioned rooms include cable TV. Wow. This hotel goes straight to my top 5 places I've ever stayed. I've traveled a lot over the years, and stayed at cheap hostels, as well as more expensive hotels. I think Villa Colonial is just amazing and unique. First, when I arrived I was offered something to drink, showed around the hotel and told about the architecture and art. When the bossguy (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name!) took me to my room, the first thing I noticed was a clean and fresh smell. Towels and sheets smelled so good, and everything was very clean. There was a tray full of local goods, like rum, nuts, sweets and a welcome note. Over the stay, the room was very cozy and the bed with the big pillows so comfortable. I think I got a different room than I booked (not complaining), and I had my private balcony, which was a cool touch. I was going trough a hard time personally and didn't actually leave the room much, so I'm glad I chose this hotel, because it was the perfect place to just recharge, chill and be in peace. The hotel itself was a beautiful colonial building full of art, plants and nice sofas to sink to during the days. The front door was locked all the time, and I felt very safe. The breakfast was delicious with good coffee, and all the employees were super friendly and helpful. The one day I went out, bossguy gave me good tips where to go to. Altogether he seemed genuinely interested and empathetic about his guests and running the hotel. You are a gem, thank you!

I have only good things to say about this hotel: welcoming reception, clean facilities, everything. It was my first time in Santo Domingo as a solo traveller and the reception staff was very nice to explain things to me. I will certainly be back, thank you for all.

Hampton By Hilton Santo Domingo Airport features a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Boca Chica. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. This was a pleasant surprise. We had thought (like all other places we stayed in during our D.R. visit) that there would be some things missing or not working. My wife and I were delighted by our stay in the Hampton in Boca Chica, near the airport. I felt like I was in Florida on several occasions during the visit. The room was superb and well-equipped, as well as spotlessly clean. The hotel had a new feel to it, and it may have been recently opened or renovated; I don’t know. The staff were more than helpful. One of them got the cook to make me a special Dominican breakfast (without my prompting him and something not on the menu or on display) and was a hoot. The hotel was full of customers, but you would never know that it was so crowded. The place was quiet with some gentle background music. Nice.

Comfortable, clean and quiet room alongside with safe for your belongings. I booked a studio with separate small kitchen/breakfast area which was super handy. The breakfast is outside of the property at Plaza Colon where you can enjoy a beautiful morning. High speed internet!

The Catalonia Santo Domingo is a sensational 21-storey building that is located oceanfront at George Washington Avenue, 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport and only a few minutes away... Great place, great staff. Super comfy, great views and excellent value
