Hotel a Ibarra
Set in Ibarra and within 500 metres of Central Bank Museum, Quinta San Carlos Hostel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was only a few blocks from the oral surgeon I came to see (who was terrific). The place was airy - rooms opened on to courtyards, and spotless. The staff was helpful, cheerful, and friendly.

This hotel was simply sublime. The best part were the fantastic staff, all of whom were exceptional. Turn down service was a lovely surprise. This is a converted old building, so there are aspects which couldn't be changed, such a slightly smaller room, but we loved it. Bathroom was fantastic and snacks were welcome too.

Located at the top of a hill and featuring a restaurant with panoramic mountain views, La Estelita offers free Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool in Ibarra. The city centre is 6 km away. The location is amazing, the pool facilities and view are wonderful. The staff are warm, welcoming and extremely friendly and made sure everything was great for our visit. They asked when we wished to use the facilities so as it would be just right when we were ready. The staff were very conscious of Covid precautions during our stay which was also reassuring. The food and breakfast were delicious and with a great view overlooking the valley as you eat. It is a really cozy place and peaceful experience.

Featuring a restaurant and a big garden overlooking the Cotacachi Volcanoes, Hosteria Cananvalle offers rooms with free Wi-Fi in charming cottages right in front of Chorlavi River. We loved this place. Amazing plants, birds, coffee and of course people. Our child liked dogs very much. We would like to come back again. Hence we recommend this place. Coffee trip also very interesting - with passion.

La Mirage is a 5-star Hotel & Spa built on the grounds of a 200-year old Andean Hacienda. It features orchid gardens filled with peacocks and a gourmet cooking school. The peacock garden is such a unique experience. We loved the different areas to eat meals - breakfast in a cozy cottage building overlooking the peacock garden, and lunch and dinner in a different beautiful building overlooking the garden. The staff went above and beyond to assist us when our luggage was delayed. Each night we returned to our room to find turndown service and a fire crackling in the hearth. We stayed at 4 different accommodations during the course of our 10-day tour of Ecuador and Galapagos and this was hands down our favorite. If we find ourselves in Ecuador again in the future, we would go out of our way to stay here again.
