Lovely location on vineyard. Views are amazing from room and restaurant. Breakfast was good. Lovely room with balcony overlooking vineyards is unique. Enjoyed meal and wine in the restaurant, service was excellent as was the food. Reception staff were very hospitable and helpful. Liked the grounds and winery area in general. Good location on main road giving quick access to local areas.

The stunning Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Elciego, is located in Elciego, in La Rioja’s Álava province. The room had a nice view on a small vineyard and the distant hills. Breakfast was delicious with eggs Benedict, fruit, cold cuts, cheese and croissants. The traditional restaurant was great for lunch. The wine tour was fascinating. The building of course is spectacular. Well worth the splurge.

Excellent room. Good price. Food very good. Very good location to see a very interesting settlement. Recommend without hesitation.

This design hotel is in Villabuena de Álava, in the La Rioja Alavesa Wine Region. There is free WiFi, free public parking and a rooftop terrace with views of the Sierra de la Cantabria Mountains. Beautiful hotel, very unique, modern style. The city is quite “dead”, but it’s good option to sleep in Rioja.

Set amongst 300-year old vineyards in the La Rioja-Alavesa region, Posada Mayor de Migueloa is housed in a 17th-century Baroque mansion, Palacio de Viana. The manager/receptionist is delightful, informative and professional. The town is a gem, and the hotel is located at its heart. Highly recommended.

The hotel, situated opposite the Laguardia medieval city walls, boasts fantastic views of the Ebro valley and the surrounding vineyards. The terrace had wonderful views.
