Quiet location but just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Some good restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and helped us feel comfortable with our basic French. Most staff speak good English - but some use of French is going to go a long way. Breakfasts are excellent, for an extra charge. Parking was available on the street in front of the hotel. We warmly recommend the Villa du Moulleau!

This hotel is located a 10-minute drive from Biscarrosse Beach and Biscarrosse Golf Course. It features a terrace and has free Wi-Fi access and free private parking on site. Owners and staff member at the reception are absolutely amazing. The location is great, with a possibility to park in front and behind the hotel as well. The room and bathroom were perfectly cleaned. With our baby crawling and spending his time on the floor, we appreciated. Breakfast is good, with 2 huge coffee machines, nice to use.

Beautiful Atlantic coast town.
Beautiful Atlantic coast town. Two beaches - one is rather stony but both were clean with good paddling and swimming. Great atmosphere and lots to see and do. We could have done with another day or two to really get the most out of the place.

La Rochelle in January can be quite cold and damp, being on the Atlantic coast. Unfortunately 99% of the tourist attractions close for the winter, so very little is open at this time of year. There are plenty of very good seafood restaurants, and some good bars, so you won’t struggle to entertain yourself. This old medieval town has plenty of cobbled streets, and historical buildings - I would imagine it would be a beautiful place to visit during the summer.

A lovely walled city on the Atlantic coast. A busy harbour, some very nice restaurants, and lots of boats messing about on the water. You should definitely try the mussels and the hot goat cheese salads which seem to be on the menu of 90% of La Rochelle restaurants.

A very pleasant surprise - traveling down the French Atlantic Coast - changing hotels each day - 202 is the best overall experience of 7 stays - not the cheapest but good value. Staff extremely pleasant - nice breakfast with a wide ranging buffet. Added it to my contacts list for next time.

Amazing location Amazing restaurant. michelin star standard food, complete surprise. Amazing Spa, had very good massage and chilled in the pool, sauna and steam room Right nest to the Lake, views are so good, 3 minute walk to Culs Nuls beach next door to the mighty La Graviere, best peak on the beach in Hossegor, for a surfer and non surfer couple this hotel was epic. Travelling from Ireland, Arcachon is the perfect location, a train away from Bordeaux. Warm welcome from the reception on arrival, happy to give advice on things to do & how to get there. Hotel is ideally situated in front of the sea, in the city center. Arcachon has a lot to offer with a vast variety of restaurants for everybody's taste. One of the reason we went there was to also go to the "Pyla dunes" which are the highest dunes in Europe. Absolutely amazing. It cost 2EUR public bus ticket, regular journeys (approx every hour), the tourist office is situated near the train station. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

We'd stayed here before and loved it, the staff were again excellent. Both reception and the man in the restaurant (who seemed to work in the evening & morning for breakfast) was very helpful and spoke in English for us. The rooms were fantastic, a nice cool 22c Air-Con centrally controlled but perfect when it was 36c outside. A nice coffee machine with pods, and bottled water in a mini fridge. Spa/Sauna/Ice room and pools all in good working order, and wasn't busy when we stayed in mid June. Always lots of parking. Big thanks to the man at the front desk (manager?) who I forgot his name, but upgraded us to a pool view room - I'm assuming because we'd stayed before, but also it wasn't busy that day.

Zero stairs from the entrance to the room: 1,2,7&8 share that feature. The staff managed to transform a hotel that usually had a beach feel to a cozy holiday chalet virtually overnight. Breakfast (13€) featured excellent gâteau basque cerise and brebis cheese. Solid dinner choices were but a short walk away.

The location is absolutely exceptional . It has two really nice swimming pools in front of the ocean and direct acces to the beach. It is a wonderful setting. However it could stand improvements in the room and the quality of the buffet, they are not 4 star quality
