Hotel Mercure Chartres Cathedrale is located at the heart of Chartres, overlooking the cathedral and market. It has air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV and free WiFi access. Rooms were fine, large enough, comfortable. The location is great, an easy walk to the cathedral and old town. Value is spot on. If you drive, there is a convenient space in front of the hotel where you can unload your vehicle and check in. After you check in, best to park in the Coeur de Ville parking lot nearest the hotel, better still to reserve your spot online.

Great hotel - only two things, breakfast was very good, but not amazing. They should really let you know that this is NOT a hotel with a pool. Otherwise, amazing.

Situated in the heart of a city inscribed as a World Heritage site, Campanile Chartres Centre - Gare - Cathédrale has a cosy atmosphere only a few steps from the Gothic Cathedral. The location is Perfect. My room was very big, clean, and comfortable with a wonderful view of the cathedral of Notre Dame de Chartres. The staff was kind and the front desk was always maned by someone.
