Dalrachney Lodge is a family-run country house hotel in Carrbridge, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and is approached via a tree-lined riverside driveway. Dalrachney Lodge is wonderful! Steve and Tracy are very personable and caring hosts. We stayed in the superior king room for one night, and it was truly lovely. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was beautiful, and the bathroom exceeded my expectations. They provided a delectable made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend staying here, and look forward to staying with these caring hosts in the future! Steve even gave us recommendations of places to stop along our journey that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We stopped at the bridge in Carrbridge, House of Bruar and the falls behind it, and Hettie's in Pitlochry and loved all of these recommendations!

Beds comfortable, Continental breakfast was good. I'm just worried once word gets around I'll never find another booking. Home from home large grounds and walks along the river Dee. Opposite Blair Castle, family-run 19th-century Atholl Arms is full of character, offering log fires, locally sourced food and Wi-Fi. Shopping at the House of Bruar is nearby. Great hotel at a great location. Very easy access to the restaurant and the bothy bar. Great atmosphere, the fire in the fireplaces were crackling when we entered while the autumn wind and showers were kept outside. Very friendly staff.

Perfectly located for hill walking, climbing, fishing, the Malt Whisky Trail, golf and all winter sports, this independently-owned hotel is found in the heart of Aviemore, in the Cairngorms. The economy room was much better than we expected. It was spacious and comfortable so much nicer than many hotel rooms. The room was also lovely and warm and cosy. Alan in the restaurant was exceptional and went out of his way to assist us even though he was very busy.
