Formerly called The Castle Arms, The newly refurbished Mey Hotel is a 19th-century coaching inn and Visit Scotland award winning hotel just 8 miles from John O'Groats, in the village of Mey. Located along the north coast, it’s a great spot for exploring. There’s a very personal touch with this hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, as was the evening meal. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire in the afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of a very tastefully decorated room. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

Situated in Keiss, 3.5 km from Sinclair's Bay, Sinclair Bay Apartments features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The flat is very spacious, clean, modern furnished, beds are clean and comfortable. I really really recommend.

Set in Thurso and within less than 1 km of Thurso Beach, Manor House Hotel has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The hotel features family rooms. Really nice B&B. Fantastic hosts, and a great breakfast, with a nice selection of beer as well. The room is lovely, and there is a lot of parking right in front as well. Would stay here again if I'm in Thurso!

This small, family-run hotel has free Wi-Fi and free parking. It is in the centre of Castletown, close to Thurso and Wick and only minutes from the Castle of Mey. Loved everything about the Castletown Hotel. Fantastic staff, comfortable rooms, excellent food and service.

Set in Thurso, 36 km from Sinclair's Bay, Forss House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Everything. The staff was awesome. The nature around is beautiful. The whole building is beautiful and the interior was amazing. We felt like we were in a whole different world. Plus we got upgraded for free as we arrived. Next time in Thurso we will be staying here again. 🧡

The Portland Hotel is located in Lybster. Boasting a spacious guest lounge, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Guests can have a cocktail at the bar. The staff was exceptional!!! Food was fantastic!!! I highly recommend this place! Amy fixed our breakfast for our early morning trip to Orkney islands.

Northern Sands Hotel is situated in the village of Dunnet, 3 km from Dunnet Head and 13 km from Thurso. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Lovely hotel and the breakfast choice and quality is fantastic.

On the banks of the River Thurso in the village of Halkirk, this hotel is a 10-minute drive from Thurso town centre. It is built from Caithness stone, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location right by the river. The staff were wonderful and the food fabulous. The breakfast was huge and delicious. If you want a place to stay away from the crowds on the NC500, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

In Wick, in the beautiful area of Caithness in the Northern Highlands, Mackays offers award-winning service and fine food in No1 Bistro, as well as free Wi-Fi and parking. Nice older style hotel, great location, courteous and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service.

The Park Hotel - Where the atmosphere & surroundings are as welcoming as the food. Why not go all the way! To Caithness, the land beyond the Highlands and enjoy the hospitality at the Park Hotel. Good sized room with comfortable bed, shower/bath and tea/coffee making. Plenty of free parking. Friendly staff.
