Our family room (3 and 4) was big and very nice. The people working here are very nice and friendly. The manager works here from 1975 !

The unit has most things one needs for self catering. Basic but available. It is a great base for walks and tours around the Lake District. The Cumberland sausage from the butcher is superb. There is parking on site which is a bonus. Access is interesting to say the least. Big cars will be challenged. Done once it becomes easier. Oh have I mentioned the butcher?

Great central Cockermouth location. Superb deluxe room with queen size bed and sofa. Off-site parking but only a few minutes walk away with free pass (loading directly outside hotel for bags). Fantastic cooked breakfast with quality bacon and delicious Cumberland sausage. All the staff were very friendly and really helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Room itself pleasant. Liked the turquoise throw and cushions. Room had a nice garden view. Owners were apologetic about the delays at the beginning, and did finally put us in the same hotel with rooms next to each other. My friend did think the Cumberland sausage was good in the evening. And liked the scrambled egg option for breakfast.

An old hotel with a special atmosphere, situated in its own large garden (with rabbits nibbling on the grass...), It was quiet as it is on the town outskirts, but 5 min walk to Keswick center. Access to walking paths direct from the hotel. Parking available on site. We had a nice and relatively large room with a view to the bunnies....The staff was very nice.

This was my 40th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Bridge Hotel on our honeymoon.The hotel has been modernized but the front entrance looks the same. It has a special place in our hearts. Food was great. The bathroom and room renovations are really wonderful. It was well worth the return trip.

We loved our stay. Serene is the word I would use. Grounds were well kept and beautiful. From our dinner table, we looked out upon the gardens and the river. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Loved having drinks before dinner and chatting with other guests.
