Situated in Polače, 100 metres from Paljevina Beach, Apartments Linda features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. Great location with a nice balcony with a view, very nice host and good food. We rented bicycles from the owner and he made us feel very welcome. Great homemade drinks.

The view from the balcony (see photo), like the whole island, is serene and so beautiful it is Heaven on Earth. It is a minute walk to the sea so you can take many quick dips. Dragonflies and butterflies are in abundance. The Aleppo pines are full of cicadas. The restaurant is also a minute away. You see the vines growing from your room and can drink the homemade wine at the restaurant; you see fig trees and can have fig jam with your breakfast; the salad seemed homegrown too. The staff are all really friendly and go out of their way to answer any questions that you might have. They go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The location is great! There are more restaurants, if you want them, about 5 minutes walk away and you pass Roman ruins on the way. It is a moderately easy walk to the inland lakes (about 35 minutes walk on a hilly path through the woods) where the water is even warmer for swimming. If you like walking (or cycling) there are lots of different paths and tracks signposted, from 2-14 km. There is an excellent local taxi service to get you from the port, or to take you anywhere else on the island.

Boasting a terrace, barbecue facilities and views of city, Apartments Slavica is set in Pomena, 22 km from Odysseus Cave. We loved it! Everything was great, host was great and she told us everything about the island and where to go. Apartment was clean with very nice view and near the national park.
