Just PERFECT after a few days driving on westfjords dirt roads. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Nice room and comfy beddings. Wifi signal not very good but still useable maybe too many people there.

Set in Hólmavík, Hótel Laugarhóll with natural hot spring has a garden, shared lounge, restaurant, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy mountain views. At the hotel, each room comes with a desk. We were the only guests as the tourist season had just started, location is rural and very quiet, perfect for enjoying silence and the gorgeous night sky. There’s a heated outdoor swimming pool next door and Hólmavík is about 25min away.

I had the privilege of staying at Hotel Djupavik, and it truly ranks among the most exceptional places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The breakfast was delightful, the warm welcome from the staff was even better, and the tour of the nearby fish oil factory was simply awe-inspiring. The atmosphere here makes you feel like a cherished friend rather than a mere guest. Absolutely fantastic!

This hotel, opened in June 2013, is situated along the coast in Patreksfjordur, a fishing village in Iceland’s Westfjords. It offers an à la carte restaurant with a bar and daily breakfast buffet. The restaurant at the hotel was top class and the service warm and professional at the same time. Thank you, Paolo, for treating us so nicely. The view from the rooms overlooking the sea is just great. This is a modern hotel with a nice local touch in the old photos on display in the corridors.
