Dating back to 1924, the impressive Villa Moorings is 700 metres from Barga Cathedral. It features a 3000 m² garden with swimming pool, sun terrace and gazebos. The staff were excellent, very warm, helpful and welcoming. The room we had was large, spacious, bright and airy with lovely views over the hills. Location was excellent with everything in easy walking distance.

Set on a hillside overlooking the medieval town of Barga, Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa features an outdoor pool and modern spa. The welcome staff was ok. Location is a wow! The building is well equipped and the view was fantastic! The restaurant top! Only the Spa lacks of most of the spa equipments! I was with a friend of mine and we really enjoyed…see you soon!

Hotel Restaurant La Lanterna is situated in a quite area, few minutes from the historical centre of this pleasant town in the Garfagnana region. Last week, while traveling to Tuscany, my wife and I lost ourselves in the Castelnuovo di Garfagnana surroundings. It was getting dark, and we couldn't find a hotel or even a place to park our car. After getting a tip from a gentle lady nearby La Lanterna Hotel, I decided to book a room for us through Booking.com without even getting more information about the hotel. What a pleasant surprise we had when we finally managed to get to the place! Massimo, who manages the place and met us at the reception is probably one of the nicest guys we had the chance to meet during our time in Italy. Super friendly and extremely polite and attentive. To be 100% honest, all the hotel staff was so nice to us, and the hotel facilities were so great that my wife and I ended up regretting having planned our stay there for only one day. To Massimo and all the La Lanterna staff, our most sincere thanks! Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is the place of birth of my great-great-grandfather, and a lovely small Tuscan city recommended to all those travelers looking for peace, tranquility, and beautiful Italian landscapes. Set in Corfino, 50 km from Abetone/Val di Luce, Hotel Panoramico offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The location is incredible, the village is half way up in the mountain and it was nice and cool in the middle of the summer. The view is amazing as, being perched half way up, you see the slopes of the maritime alps and the sea. Food is exceptional both in quality and quantity so we absolutely recommend, if you are in doubt, book the dinner and save space. Staff was really amazing, my husband was in grutches and they made it possible to be located next to the elevator.
