Fantastic venue renovated to a high standard in a beautiful location. This far exceeded our expectation as we have stayed in a convent before. Quiet and relaxing. Amazing breakfast choice.

Sextantio Albergo Diffuso offers unique accommodation in the fortified medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, deep in the Abruzzo hillside, at 1250 metres a.s.l. It was like stepping back in time. The romantic version, not the one with all the killing, poverty and disease. Joking aside, it is a beautiful place and well worth staying. it’s beautifully restored. super comfortable and the restaurant is great.

The hotel was quite nice. It's away from the nite noise of the main part of town but just a short walk. The restaurant was great, though we only got pizza and calzone but every table had something I wanted. That said, the pizza was amazing. You asked about the bed above. I have a bad back so it's hard to tell, but it didn't hurt so that is a plus. I liked the height, seemed a bit lower than average and I kinda liked that.
