What’s not to like about an elegant small hotel such as this in the heart of Lucca. On check in we got a great briefing of what to do in town and took the manager’s advice and attended the Puccini and Verde opera in a 1600 era cathedral. A high point. We also walked along the medieval walls of the town. The hotel was great. Breakfast was yummy, with pancakes and eggs and all of the continental goodies. We did book one room for each of us. Two tall people in these small European rooms wears thin on long trips (snoring included). So that made this stay pricey for us.

This warm and friendly hotel is within the ancient walls of Lucca, a 10-minute walk from the cathedral. Highlights at Hotel Alla Corte degli Angeli include free Wi-Fi and elegantly decorated rooms. Great location, great staff, beautifully restored buildings inside the ramparts. Our room was very spacious! Breakfast was a wonderful spread of fresh fruit local cheese, charcuterie, farm eggs made to perfection, home made patisserie, fresh squeezed orange juice, apples oven cooked and a lot more. Easy paying parking 18euro per day. We will definitely stay here again soon!

Offering air-conditioned rooms, Hotel San Marco features a swimming pool. Lucca’s marvellous walls are 500 metres from the property and Porta San Jacopo are a short walk away. Parking is free. We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, room was nice and clean. The outdoor area was perfect for relaxation and the pool great for a quick dip. Affordable bike rental at the hotel which we used twice. 10/10 would recommend!

Beautifully decorated small hotel, very conveniently located in the centre of Lucca. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfy . The staff was very helpful and breakfast was delicious.

Vain 200 metrin päässä Luccan rautatieasemalta sijaitseva Albergo Moderno tarjoaa tyylikkäitä ja ilmastoituja huoneita, joissa on LCD-TV. Really beautiful and quiet location. The breakfast was also nice and the family that runs the hotel was also kind. The owner/manager was very kind to help me with my luggage up the stairs, but it is definitely easier here with light luggage :) If you are coming by train, make sure to ask about reaching the property by the back exit of train station to avoid taking large stairs to cross the town.

The historic centre of Lucca is 5 km away. + Staff was just great, lovely and gave us the feeling of 'home' + Great room, very clean, old tuscany touch but in a good way + not many people can sleep here so it's quite and everyone respects that + Location was great because it was way on the countryside and no disturbances here + pool was great, garden was cut perfectly and was beautiful + you can rent a vespa for 80€ whole day and just 40€ if you take it just for the evening - we drove into pisa and the way there was magical - we absolutely loved it
