Shionoyu Onsen Rengetsu is set in Nasushiobara, in the Shiobara Onsen-kyo district. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free shuttle service. It was beautiful and the food is excellent. The hot spring bath in the room was lovely. Staff were very polite.

Location is a little far (15 minutes from the nearest bus stop) if you walk but the hotel does offer pickup from Seven Eleven near the bus stop, which is great. They picked me up at night and also dropped me off after I checked out. I like their hot spring too. Not many people when I visited so I almost had the hot spring all to myself. They switch the male and female hot spring every other day so you can try both during your stay. I would definitely stay there again when I go hiking in that area during the season.

Set in Nasushiobara, 37 km from Shirakawa Station, Nasushiobara Station Hotel features a restaurant and views of the city. The location is good as it is just beside the station. There are many restaurants nearby so you definitely don't have to worry about food. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and even when we were still at the carpark, he dashed out to direct us to the available parking lot every time we drove in. The room is also big and spacious, and it has the Japanese element to it, which I truly like, and breakfast spread was good too! Would definitely come back for a stay again!

A mere 1-minute walk from JR Nishinasuno Train Station, Hotel Select Inn Nishinasuno features simple accommodations with free wired internet access. Paid parking is available on-site. The all you can eat breakfast was great. Kept my son and I skiing till dinner. The location in front of the train station was cool watching shinkansens scream by. Hotel was a little dated, but that gave it a homey atmosphere. The breakfast staff were really kind as were the front desk staff. I'd definitely stay here again. Free parking was a definite plus as we've stayed at hotels that cost upwards of 1,000 yen a night for parking.
